IOGEAR Miniview Micro 2 Port Compact USB KVM Switch W BUILT-IN 6FT Cable And Audio
Cons:-The keyboard usb port dies needs to reseat the usb cable and that does even work at times. What a broken product. - The audio has too much static makes it unusable. -Without the keyboard port working the kvm is meaningles can't switch between system.

Pros:-zero strength
Comment:
This is a not to buy product it can't even do a simple kvs between two pcs properly when the 2nd usb port has no power going to it.

IOGEAR Miniview Micro 2 Port Compact USB KVM Switch W BUILT-IN 6FT Cable And Audio
Cons:None yet

Pros:Small size, good cables
Comment:
I bought this KVM a couple hours ago to replace an old D-Link that decided to fail after a couple years of service. It's definitely as good as the D-Link and the audio is an added bonus. Highly recommended to anyone who's looking for a KVM.

IOGEAR Miniview Micro 2 Port Compact USB KVM Switch W BUILT-IN 6FT Cable And Audio
Cons:hard to setup the swap key with wireless keyboardwireless keyboard support just not there with this

Pros:Compactaudio in port
Comment:
I had to buy another USB keyboard (hardwired) for this to work... not that I am a big fan of wirless keyboards to begin with. Overall, functions good with the new keyboard, disapointing that wireless keyboard companies do not work together with these switch companies to allow compatibility however.

Got this because I was sick of having my old KVM bag out on my Saitek Eclipse keyboard ( not enough juice?) PLUS this has the audio and is USB, which frees up a couple of slots.I saw this excat same unit in a local Drugstore from LONDON ( hint ) and this is $15 cheaper. Well worth the wait. I am currently using Linux ( Ubuntu ) on one box and Windoze ( XP Ultimate ) on the other and there were no issues with detection. At first the audio had some humming ( interference ?) and after rerouting some cables and reinstalling it that disappeared. I love this thing and would buy this again. Was looking at the dlink previously but heard that you are out of luck with support. This thing is relatively small and simple as anything to use. BUY IT! IOGEAR Miniview Micro 2 Port Compact USB KVM Switch W BUILT-IN 6FT Cable And Audio
Cons:USB users beware..

Pros:Simple, functional KVM switch
Comment:
I'm not sure if this is a downside of ALL USB switches, but this KVM has two ports - one for keyboard and one for mouse... this is, apparently, for a REASON.I have a Logitech G15 keyboard. This KVM switch would NOT work with it (the keyboard would work, but the hotkey for switching would not). I tried another keyboard and it worked fine, however they keyboard also has two USB ports on the back. I plugged my mouse in to one and the KVM hotkey again would not work.I assume that the G15's special display and functions basically act like a second USB device in addition to the keyboard and that's why the hotkey would not work with it...Annoyingly enough, I wanted to use this KVM switch in my home theatre setup so I could swap between my PVR and my comp/game machine for the TV.. I had a single USB cable going across the floor to the keyboard and the mouse plugged in to that. This KVM has forced me to use two seperate cables and a different keyboard. Ah well.

IOGEAR Miniview Micro 2 Port Compact USB KVM Switch W BUILT-IN 6FT Cable And Audio
Cons:Does not support surround sound systems.

Pros:Easy to set up and it works.

I did some research and based on my reviews, I decided to give this product a shot. I'm currently running Windows 2000 on one computer, and Mandriva (linux) Powerpack 2008 on another. I'm using a gyration wireless keyboard and mouse with it. This means that I have a more complicated setup that most. The only problems I've had are that there appears to be some latency issues with the wireless keyboard when switching between active boxes. Double-clicking on scroll lock is a hit or miss game. However, this isn't a problem with the KVM. So far I'm satisfied with what it offers. This review was modfied by poster @ 02-11-08 07:15 PM

IOGEAR Miniview Micro 2 Port Compact USB KVM Switch W BUILT-IN 6FT Cable And Audio
Cons:wires are actually a little TOO long, lol

Pros:Works with wireless keyboard mouse combo, easy to switch between computers, includes sound
Comment:
The KVM suprised me by how easy it was to use and how it worked with my wireless keyboard mouse combo. Everything just worked and I have no complaints. Switching between computers is super easy with just a double click of the scroll lock key (which can be changed to another key). I would recommend this to anybody especially for the price!

IOGEAR Miniview Micro 2 Port Compact USB KVM Switch W BUILT-IN 6FT Cable And Audio
Cons:pain in the butt to setup on Win98 or se

Pros:built solid,works well,easy user interface
Comment:
excellent little unit here, not much to say about it, but, if trying to install with an older operating system(ie.win98 - 98se)make sure that you have a ps/2 keyboard hooked up to the older o/s's tower as you need to insert the 98 cd to install the usb keyboard and mouse, once installed you can disconnect the ps/2 keyboard ,reboot and presto ;)cables have a fair length and the unit is built well, fairly heavy. i'd definately recommend to anyone.
