Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Only Sata II
Pros:Solid and one of the most reliable SSD on the market. Comment:
This is a well know reliable SSD, great and reasonable priced if you PM it.The only con is that it is just a SATA II drive, but if you have an old mobo, like the X58 go for it, you can't go wrong with it. |

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Not as spacious as a HDD
Pros:Lightning fast - great for OS drive Comment:
Purchased as an OS drive for an older system - and you can really notice the difference... 30 seconds from power on to usable Windows desktop (everything loaded).Plus it's an Intel, so it is certain to be well built. |

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:None so far.
Pros:Plenty fast. Comment:
I bought this in mid-December after lots of research on solid state drive reliability. I was really afraid of all the horror stories surrounding solid state drives but I finally made up my mind and got it. So far I haven't had any problems and the drive already came with the latest firmware (to supposedly solved the 8 MB bug). I've only been using the drive for about 3 months though so I might add another review after a year or so. As for speed, I have a 3.5 year old laptop and so my system is limited by a SATA I connection. For this reason I haven't run any fancy speed tests to compare the Intel 320 to other models such as OCZ but for what it's worth, the Windows 7 experience index indicates 7.7 for the primary hard disk. Woot. |

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:you really need to use the Intel SSD Tweak program to get decent speeds, rebate has to be used to the exact last cent to get all of it
Pros:Good assists from Intel with their dat Magration software, great speeds and super low power consumption, rebate arrived with no problems but its use is problematic. Comment:
my use was for a Samsung N310 netbook (the one with the 3G MODEM). I wanted longer battery life and altho the N310 has the lesser power consumption Intel Atom N270 Processor 1.60 GHz it was giving only just over 5h battery with a lot of powersaving options. This drive consumes 0.1w standby and 1.5w actice about one third that of the installed drive. I get 7h now on an 80% charge (battery saver mode) and well over 10h if I fully charge it.I get (large file) reads at 131MB/s and writes at 121Mb/s the former drive was something around 35MB/s. I was not a lot more before I ran Intels tweak software and I was not happy at that point. When I bot last Nov the drive price was $279 it is now $309Shudda bot 2 and would have if I found out thet you could get two rebates. |

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:I'm not after pure raw speed so even if this is "only" a sata 2 for me it's plenty. It's still way faster than my hard drives and that's why I want it.
Pros:Big mail in rebate brings it to 1$/GBComes with the bracket, was needed for my case Comment:
This is my second Intel SSD and I buy intel because I trust them for reliability more than any other brands. It already had the latest firmware and the intel ssd toolbox makes it easy to do anything you could want with the drive, be it running TRIM, erasing the drive, diagnostic, it's a well done tool free or charge. So far I haven't have any problems with either this drive or my half a year old 40gb.I'm not judging it for speed and with the mail in rebate (120$)it's about the best value you could get.If I ever had any problems the rebate I'll modify this review. |

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Sata2
Pros:$1/GB, reliable, 160gb Comment:
i picked this up to replace raid0 drive, 2 seagate 7200.11 500gb. My raid was failing once yr and decided to replace it. Not much preforance over the raid). From the reviews this SSD seems to be the most reliable. Main downside is itsd only sata2 however my mobo only supports sata2. |

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Bottom of the drive aluminum case was pretty scratched up compared to the polished top, small issue but for the price you think having it all polished wouldn't be a issue
Pros:SSD blazing fast read & write speedsReliability Extremely small & lightComes with every needed accessory: sata & molex to sata power cables, screws, and 3.5" to 2.5" adapter bracket.Price with current mail in rebate. Comment:
Sequential Test Read: SSD - 250.25 MB/s vs HDD - 64.17MB/s Write: SSD - 168.20 MB/s vs HDD - 48.13MB/sRandom4K Test Read: SSD - 17.86 MB/s vs HDD - 0.60MB/s Write: SSD - 35.46 MB/s vs HDD - 0.99MB/sSSD only took minutes to complete but platter drive was taking so long I canceled it after those results.Ran some tests after loading my games on it and the speed was night and day. Only sata 3gb/s but even the fast ssd speeds aren't enough to warrant spending extra on sata 6GB capabilities.Originally was just going to use it for PC games but after using this one I've ordered Intel's 320 series 120gb for OS to use along with this one. The software is easy to use and simple.Only con is aesthetics of the aluminum case as the bottom is scratched and scuffed up, but at least the top is polished nicely. While it doesn't affect anything other than looks, one would expect the finish to be the same all around considering the costs of the device. not enough to knock a star off the product rating though. |

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Expensive, what a SSD should not be
Pros:Fast, what a SSD should do Comment:
After the MIR this SSD is at a 1GB/$ price which is reasonable enough to own it. I used to have a X-25M, Intel is more reliable than other SSD brand in my opinion. The writing speed is much faster than X-25M's, but lack of new generation of SSD controller and SATA 6Gb interface, still a decent choice for low/mid-end SSD. |

Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW160G3K5 2.5" MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:none
Pros:If you can get one on sale w/ rebate it's a dollar a gig and that's a plus. Mid level performance for SSD but excellent reliability from what I've read. Good easy-to-use migration software and maintenance tools. Comment:
With current conventional hard drive prices and my existing drive getting long in the tooth - I couldn't resist the weekly sale price plus the rebate offer. I didn't need a smokin fast SSD but did want a reliable one, so the 320 series fit the bill for me. FYI the hefty rebate from Intel is offered as an American Express cash card similar to some of Asus's rebates - but with Asus they sent me a cheque even though it was a cash card rebate offer, so I hope the same thing will happen with the Intel rebate. |
I'll give this one five stars because this has been going strong for at least 1.5 years now. From my experience with other drives... the Intel gives me the most peace of mind. It's reputable and actually stable.
