Pros:Fast fast fast fast Comment:
This hard drive is fantastic, as a OEM is just came in a plain cardboard box with no added bells and whistles so make sure if you're trying to save a few dollars make sure you have a proper SSD mounting bracket if needed. The Intel SSD toolbox is a great software that helps optimize and extend the life of the SSD, if you decide to get a Intel SSD make sure to get that piece of software as well. |
Got that SSD to replace the HD that came in a new laptop, although Intel SSDs are very fast and somewhat more power-outage resilient than the rest, this particular SSD had way too many issues which forbode its use and kept stopping and caused system malfunction :exception Emask 0x50 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x4090800 action 0xe frozenirq_stat 0x00400040, connection status changedError: { HostInt PHYRdyChg 10B8B DevExch }hard resetting linkSATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)hard resetting linkSATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)limiting SATA link speed to 1.5 Gbpshard resetting linkSATA link downUpon googling it was found that other people had issues in Lenovo laptops with Intel SSDs so it's not an isolated issue.Maybe it's just because the laptop runs Linux but I would advise people to consider this before making a purchase.Obviously other SSDs didn't have the same issue (tried OCZ and ended up buying a 840 Evo that works A1).
