Cons:Absolutely none besides having only 2MB of cache but I really don't think anything more is necessary if you mainly game.
Pros:Awesome price and performance combination along with great over clocking capability |

I bought this Intel e4500 Core 2 Duo processor today and I must say, I'm completely amazed at the speed of it!I popped this puppy into an Asus P5K-VM with OCZ Gold XTC PC2-6400 (sku: 18495) and with FSB at 320 and the Multiplier at 10 and voltage at 3.550 I got 3.2 Ghz from the first try!Over all it is a good upgrade from an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ S939!26 Idle 40 Load STOCK HSF w/ OCZ ULTRA 5+ Thermal Compound on CPU This review was modfied by poster i 01-06-08 10:58 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 01-06-08 10:41 PM |

Sweet CPU. Overclocked it to 3.4 without a hick-up. Runs cool enough and fast. I'm impressed with how easily this thing overclocks with a decent motherboard. |

Supposedly the E4x00 series chips have enormous overclocking potential, which I will never find out about this processor. I received it for a client who will probably never upgrade or OC this beyond what she already has. Paired with Corsair XMS2 ram and the P5GC-MX this processor installed and runs beautifully. I particularly like the fact that C2D processors run way cooler than my old S462 athlon, which leads to longer life. |

I don't have this in a good MB for overclocking, but run it z 2.43 Ghz at stock voltage. It doesn't get above 33 Degrees C with orthos for hours (Thermalright Ultima 90 in Cold basement.) If you pair this up with some decent DDR2, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get this to 3.6 Ghz given good cooling.Awesome Chip! |

Got this out of the box and put it in my Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L and with my katana 2 i overclocked it right off the bat to 3ghz running at 27idle and 45 underload. I know i can get more out of it but i have no tried yet. GREAT CHIP! |

This is an excellent overclocking chip. I have got this running at 3.2 GHz rock stable. I could probably push it even higher but I want to keep my watercooling set up as quiet as possible. With 2 cores this is 6.4 GHz of pure joy. For this price I don't think you can get much better value. |

This is the best processor if someone's looking to overclock, I've got mine to 3.0GHz with an Asus P5K and an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7, with 37C on Load and 29C on Idle, its a great processor for performance enthusiasts to go for.Pair it up with a good P35 board and your ready to OC! |
This chip is great, I over clocked this little beast to 3100Ghz+ easily with water cooling and it runs perfectly stable. I went from an Opteron 165 clocked at 2.9 on an NF4 motherboard to this C2D and I must say there is a huge huge difference in overall speed and responsiveness in the system. I give the these new C2D series CPU's two thumbs up
