Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:None I could think of.

Pros:Excellent CPU. I installed it for a small server and it's fast, reliable, doesn't consume much energy, and is really silent.
Comment:
Really great product. Doesn't consume much energy, is fast as hell. I use it with CentOS 64 bits and the operating system is really responsive. I use it with virtualization functions and it's quite fast too. Good product I'd recommend to anyone.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:- 4Mb L2 cache (Q6600 has 8Mb)- stock heat sink/fan

Pros:- Intel...- 45nm lithography- 1333Mhz front side bus
Comment:
45nm lithography - uses less power and so runs cooler than Q6600 65nm.Fast FSB of 1333Mhz. Downsides does not overclock as well as the Q6600 and only has 4Mb L2 cache as compared with the 8Mb of the Q6600.The i5 750 really the new champion of this segment however this CPU can be had for ~$160 on sale which makes it an outstanding bang-for-the-buck.To insure it runs cool, I used the OCZ Vendetta HSF instead of the stock unit.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:no VT and not for hardcore systems

Pros:good budget CPU
Comment:
Its a great CPU if you want to have a decent system for all around use. I wouldnt however get this as a gaming CPU because its runs a bit on the hot side for me with a stock HS and fan. also the OC possibility are not as good as the Q6600 or others.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:see below

Pros:Great Quad cord for the price! an Intel product. Overclocks decently.
Comment:
The stock heartsink. NEEDS A BETTER HEATSINK ATTACHMENT SYSTEM. I hate those stupid pegs. the design of the heatsink pins. Not the processor's fault though

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:stock heatsink is bad

Pros:Great for budget build
Comment:
This cpu is awesome for its price for a budget build expecially since its a quad core. The only downside to this is its stock heatsink. The temperatures run a bit high and now I gotta buy an aftermarket heatsink so my computer doesn't restart when I play games.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:the small cache

Pros:Good processorRun coolgood overclocking potential
Comment:
This is the new budget quad processor nothing to complain about it. I was able to overclock it to 2.8Ghz on the stock cooler. it rand in the 75 celcius under prime but under 50% utilization it ran at 50 so that a good thing.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Small cache

Pros:PriceQuad core45nm
Comment:
Excellent processor. With the i7s available it seems kind of pointless to invest in anything more expensive than this unless it's an i7.Despite the fact that you're stuck with a 7x multiplier, it isn't useless for marginal overclocking. I took mine from 2.33ghz to 3.2ghz with stock voltage (somewhere in the 1.2V area on the FSB) and it's entirely stable. I would have pushed it further, except we don't know much about the long term effects of cramming these 45nm CPUs with increased voltage over long periods. The max that they can really handle safely in about 1.4V but that was WELL within the safety zone of the old processors.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Maybe not as fast as the 8400.

Pros:Very Solid cpu. Great multitasking ability.
Comment:
I bought this cpu to use in a dual-boot setup, and so far, its worked great. I'm sure its not the quickest processor on the market, but for the price (read: pricematch) its an excellent buy. It handles itself very well running multiple apps, I don't think ive seen my system bog down once from running games, internet browser, music, emails etc all at once, and tabbing through them all goes without a single hiccup. Great cpu overall.

Cons:Heatsink is a little small

Pros:Fast for the price.
Comment:
Excellent for a computer that isn't meant to be overclocked. If it had a better heatsink then it could be overclocked which would make it even more worth the money.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Heatsink is a joke, Broken sensors, Runs very hot

Pros:Fast, Overclocks Well
Comment:
I decided to go intel after supporting amd for many years, while this cpu is much faster then my old phenom 9500 it has more problems. It seems the sensors are broken in alot of the 45nm cpus just do a goole of q8200 temp and you'll see what I mean. The stock heatsink is a joke no way would I ever sell this to a customer, with intel you get speed but much lower quality.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:a little lower endcache deprived

Pros:Price ($230)overclocks well for quad corestill eats a phenom cpu
Comment:
overall, id have to say im very pleased with this cpu. Its not as fast as all the others obviously, but a little overclocking fixes that pretty quick. hit 2.8 with ease, and thats where ill keep it for now. a core2quad at this price? you cant go wrong. the deal speaks for itself. but.. if a 9400 goes on sale again, id pay the extra for it. i used it for my father-in-laws computer, and its a big step up.

Excellent processor for the price when overclocked in a versatile system. Runs smoothly at 2.8 GHz with DFI P45-T2RS motherboard. Could probably get more out of it but very happy with constant results with the actual settings.

Overall I am VERY happy with the 8200. I think its a great CPU for its price. It was very easy to install and I just use the standard Heatsink and it runs fine. I haven't overclocked it yet as I do not feel comfortable doing that and I think there is no need. Overall great CPU and am very happy with this purchase

Comment:
In general I’m happy enough with q8200. Thanks to NCIX.com I spent $218 and I think this is a great value. I overclocked it up to 2.8 GHz w/o any problems, 20C idle and 25-35C load with Thermalright ULTRA-120 Extreme.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Not top of the line, soon to be replaced with i7, needs aftermarket heatsink/fan for effective overclocking

Pros:Based on the now common LGA775, support for 1333, great value
Comment:
Not too bad of a unit - a great buy for the market at the moment due to the fact that i7 is around the corner. Intel will be keeping the prices down on this stuff while they pump out the i7, making a 200 dollar investment for a short term chip nor a bad decision. This is a processor that will more than handle the everyday tasks you give it - and many of them at once. Playing games? Not an issue. Decoding video? Decent. There are faster chips out there for power users - but matching this chip with some other quality hardware will make it worth your while for the time being.
