Even today, most games still don't make proper use of multi core CPUs. So why bother with more than 2 cores for a budget gaming PC?This is a high clock, lower power consumption, dual core with good single threaded performance that will work great in most games. Hyperthreading isn't really necessary but helps give a bit of a performance boost in case you're running a few things at once.
