Cons:Not a quad core
Pros:Fast, Cool, Good Value Comment:
This is a great CPU. Easily able to keep up with higher-end GPUs in most gaming PCs, and quite nice on its own in media, office, or computers for normal use. I'd definitely recommend getting an i3 like this (Haswell refresh version especially) if you are on a tight budget. |

An excellent low power processor that can handle any desktop task with ease. Perfect for quiet builds with a small footprint. Plus bullet proof Intel quality. |
Built a customer's computer using this part, so far they've had only good things to say about it. The integrated graphics are enough for most tasks (though they haven't really tried gaming with it yet), and as with most Intel chips in the recent past, the included cooler is quiet and cools well enough to make it worth keeping. I'm always sceptical using these new CPUs with the stock coolers now that Intel does not put a copper core in them (they appear to be aluminum all the way through), but it seems the heat output has been diminished enough that it's no longer an issue. The amount of packaging has also gone down - the box is almost half the size of my last chip (a S775 model).
