Fantastic news the concern with the Sandy Bridge was not the Processors it was with the Chip set on the motherboards! If you purchased a motherboard ahead of the problem was announced with the Sandy Bridge, you have a nice piece of artwork to hang as the Intel Chip set will go south and your performance will suffer. Do much better investigation in the future to see exactly where the difficulty truly is as the CPU isn't the problem! Please preserve this in mind those of you who are shopping, you should appear at the source of the feedback!! |

- Really good temps ʂ.8ghz stock; 22-30C @ stock. 45C @ load- Temperature for positive isn't a dilemma unless you feel like overclocking it with stock fan/heatsink. (Yes, it is probable, intel = LIED to men and women).- Excellent for multitasking for sure. - None. - You can effortless overclock this to about three.7ghz (No turbo) but that demands far better cooling. I have mine overclocked @ two.93ghz (I'm not a energy freak, I just photo edit). two.93ghz OC'd idle= 33C2.93ghz OC'd load = 50CSignificantly higher temps, which sucks, but still, I'm not a power freak.- I should've paid the added 50bucks for that i5 2500k, but I'm still satisfied with what I got and don't really feel like going via a refund method. |

Comment:
I got this processor just before they announced the issue with the 1155 motherboard chipsets, but my system is working just fine (since I'm not employing the 3Gb/s ports). The Processor is super quick, I havent had any bottlenecking or slowing due to the processor. None I built my method for around 轜 total and it can run any game at max/full/ultra settings. |

Cons:
None.
Pros: Great CPU if you are not looking to OC. Comment:
Great CPU, and great for someone looking into doing some heavy lifting when gaming, however, it is not a 2500K, but for the price it is worth it for someone not looking to OC. |

Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None yet.
Pros: Rock solid stability.Amazing performance.Cheap.Runs cool. Comment:
Bought this for my budget gaming rig and it is beast. At 1920x1080, the bottleneck is GPU power, so this beast right here is perfect for a budget rig.I'm not interested in over-clocking but have noticed that this runs very cool at all times, which is fantastic.Another surprising thing about this is the seemingly unmentioned graphics power on this thing. No video card I was able to pump out some 1080p video and even launch World of Warcraft with a decent framerate at 1680x1050 med-low settings all using my $100 mobo's HDMI port. Pretty cool stuff IMO.A+++++ would buy again. |

Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
none so far
Pros: fast and efficient Comment:
I bought this for a basic new PC build, not as a gamer system. Most of the work that will be done with it will be for audio recording and some minor video. I had no intention to OC, so this chip is perfect for the build. So far it is working flawlessly, very fast, efficient and stable. Burn-in tests performed great. I am also using the stock fan that came with it, no intentions of replacing it either..keeps it cool enough, even under the burn in test. graphics so far look fine, but i have not had a chance to thoroughly test them. used in a ASUS P8H67-M LE with G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-10666CL8D-4GBXM 4GB Ram. |

Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None
Pros: Price to performance ratio Comment:
Bought htis for a friends budget gaming build and am very impressed. He has no intention of overclocking, and the games he plays are running flawless on this machine. If you want the newest adn don't plan to OC then This is a chip to consider |
Great CPU, I'd propose this one over the other i5's if you're not going to overclock.. it is very strong and a lot cheaper than other folks. Even if you're overclocking a bit this one particular will do quite well.. but doesn't go as intense as others. None so far, obviously if I wanted additional out of a CPU I'd spend ฮ much more and get the slightly better i5-2300k
