Really like this cpu, runs extremely cool at 28 * C w/ the cooler master hyper 212 plus w/ dual fans. I havnt noticed this cpu go over 69 * C when overclocking. I have overclocked it to four.8 ghz and it could undoubtedly go greater. NONE!!!!!!! Incredibly excellent cpu. I just wish I picked a far better motherboard than the p8p67 pro because Im acquiring some quite annoying difficulties with that mobo... |

-simple installation-fastest cpu ive owned-heat sink is fine if your not going to overclock -Runs hot if your working with stock heat sink and overclocking but most people ought to know that if they program to overclock-none you ought to not overclock if you dont get an aftermarket heat sink most individuals know that. the ones who dont must not be overclocking and i most definitly will not take and egg away for the stock heat sink |

Superb overall performance! Ɨ.9 of 7.9 Windows Knowledge Index)Runs cool. Mine doesn't exceed 35C when idling. Possibly could have gotten about the same performance from a 2500K at a less expensive price tag, but they had been out of stock. None. Advised. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:-little pricey -hyperthreading is still not used in very many programs
Pros:-fairly easy install -comes with paste and fan-very good overclocking Comment:
It's quite good the price is a bit much over the locked version but it does give a pretty good speed boost when overclock. I've got it sitting at around 4.4ghz stable right now. I would say it's probably you're best bet for a CPU right now or the locked version if you don't want to overclock. |

Unlocked core.Value is a third of past generation top of the line I7's.Neat capabilities like Turbo Enhance 2. that scales the clock speed back down when you don't need the additional muscle. None so far. An upgrade from a 4-5 year old athalon for a new Computer rig. The distinction so far is astounding in computational speeds but right after 4-5 years it must be. |

- 32nm Sandy Bridge- Really rapidly at default 1.sixǙ.fourǙ.8 GHz configuration- Overclocks effectively up to five GHz on air cooling.- Idles cool at only 1-3 C above ambient.- 1.6 GHz at idle, generating it energy effective.- Lots of overclocking choices with the right motherboard: static/dynamic clock rate, 1.6 GHz idle on/off, single multiplier for all cores or 4 various multipliers based on how many cores are active. - Costs further dollars over i7-2600 for higher multiplier.- Multiplier is capped to 57, even so greater FSB/BCLK can be applied to push CPU frequency past 6 GHz. Scores 7.8 on WEI but through the benchmark which just tests encryption and compression throughputs, CPU under no circumstances goes above 70% load on any of the cores. In truth, 2600K gets 7.8 score both at default three.8 GHz and when overclocked close to five GHz. Considering that other slower CPUs get 7.9 rating, WEI may well not be in a position to properly evaluate this CPU for some purpose. |

Cons:Could be cheaper at this time period.
Pros:Rather low power consumption for the speed and power you get. Very powerful. Many times, paired with the right hardware, these can be overclocked to insane speeds. Comment:
Even if you're not planning on overclocking, this CPU packs a lot of bang for the buck.Runs relatively cool even under heavy loads at stock speeds.Very highly overclockable. Some folks have had great luck getting one of these CPUs to 5GHz or greater. |

Unlocked multiplier - on my Sabertooth motherboard, I was capable to OC to five.1gHz merely by rising the multiplier. Had additional difficulty achieving a stable RAM OC, and even THAT was uncomplicated. Runs stable with anything else automatically controlled by motherboard. Automatically underclocks throughout idle and low-usage periods (i.e Online browsing). This is an upgrade from a Core2Duo E6600, so the speed difference is undescribable. Coupled with excellent RAM and an SSD, it's a blazing rapidly machine. None. Absolutely pleased with this processor. Quite Quite Extremely Fast!was able to overclock to 5GHZ, didnt seriously want to go greater even with watercooling, because it will reach into the 80C range @ 5GHZ beneath Total load on all 4 cores undertaking encryption!!!I have a modest 4.5GHZ overclock @ 50-60C watercooled push/pull setup. scored only a 7.eight on WEI @ four.8GHZstock Heatsink is rubbish, I took it apart following i got my Corsair H60, which is specially designed for the LGA 1155 socket as opposed to the H70 or H50. it has a incredibly tiny copper middle thats essentially has been hollowed out on the other side, and like aluminum fins, copper is the best metal for dispensing heat, and its the size of like a quater. I wouldnt even use this heatsink on my chipset. right after taking it apart its that poor, i thought the fan element would be fantastic for cooling my Solid State Drive (SSD), so i set it above it and now it cools my SSD nicely. With stock fan @ about four.5GHZ @ stock voltages with total load on all 4 cores executing encryption for about a 20 minutes span, temperatures reached into the 80-90C range, particularly unsafe! With watercooling, @ about four.5GHZ stock voltages᠆-60C beneath total load on all 4 cores performing encryption soon after about 20 minutes! get the H60 Corsair!! I went from a AMD FX-55, to a Intel Core two Q9550, to a mobile i7-920, to a AMD X6, to this sandy bridge 2600k. I was hopping to see a bigger improve in overall performance more than my X6, but it was big enough in games. Responsive! Runs extremely cool. This is the quietest Pc I've ever owned! Wish I had purchased an SSD rather of the heatsink. Hell its not the CPU's fault. Seriously even if you are OC'ing attempt the oem heatsink. You will be amazed at how cool this cpu runs. I believed there was anything wrong with the temp sensors. |

Upgrade to this from AMD Athlon II x3 450 [unlocked the 4th core! w00t] and LOVING IT! I think it's being held back right now as well due to a under-powered PSU. This is 1 speedy chip! Paired with MSI P67 and 16gb DDR3 1600 and it blows everything out of the water. OC'd to four.2 with zero effort and unbelievably low temps. Posted correctly proper out of box. 72,000 cpu score on Mark3 Vantage. Black ops fps jumped 250% from old q9400. Buy this cpu NOW! Motherboard selection was limited at time of acquire... luckily I dodged the recall. Be confident to purchase aftermarket heat-sink if you program on overclocking. |

It's as expected: extremely quick, runs pretty cool, consumes much less power. Its a breeze to overclock. Clocked at 4.4gHz with stock cooler gets around 64C max. Can quickly get 4.8 or so with a diverse cooler. Value |
Handles anything very easily, runs really cool, even with stock cooler, good price tag/performance ratio i-5 2500k is ~贄 less and would provide related overall performance for most tasks Will eventually obtain aftermarket cooler and overclock it, not needed now as most computers are gpu restricted anyway
