Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:Stock cooler is only marginally efficient, core temps can vary by 5*C
Pros:Low power consumption, compatible with 1156 CPU coolers, four cores times two threads per cores equals eight virtual CPUs showing Comment:
While many people like to buy 'top of the line (like the new six core CPUs that have released recently), the reality is that for double the money you are only getting an extra 2 cores. Unless you are running some serious programs that can actually USE all those cores (which many programs cannot) then this is the CPU for you. I know many people are reluctant to overclock, but the nice thing about this CPU is that you don't have to change voltages, bus speeds and such, you can simply increase the multiplier. Even with a basic non-stock CPU cooler you can easily change the multiplier to 40 and you have an instant 4GHz CPU. Just remember to watch your temperatures. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:- High temp on stock cooler
Pros:- Fast- Great for multitask Comment:
This cpu is really fast, very impressive. The only concerned I had about it is the temp was going pretty high with the stock cooler in an old p4 case. So I bought an aftermarket cooler for 30$ and a case with fans and the temp went from about 60 Celsius to 30 Celsius.. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Comment:
I should say this is the finest processor I have ever owned thus far. It's incredibly versatile and effortless to overclock at four.6Ghz with comfy temps in a liquid cooling program. I know that there are a lot of good air cooling solutions out there that do excellent with this cpu as properly. If you program on operating any tasks that take 100% load for a considerable quantity of time then please invest in an after market cooler. The stock cooler does not cut it. Performance wise it will pay off more than time. I use a lot of applications that do demand hyper threading. In benchmarks shown at Anandtech and the like you will see that this processor can out perform the 980X in some tests. Considering the price to efficiency ratio I feel the 2600k is the best option for most men and women. Only the hardcore enthusiasts will want to encourage a 6-core at the moment. I really feel both pleased and confident in saying that I need to not have to upgrade to a new processor for a couple of years. None whatsoever. There was a fairly massive mistake at 1st in the course of the shipping method. This was not Newegg's fault, nevertheless, they did everything they could and made it suitable for me in a timely manner. I am incredibly thankful for it and will gladly advocate to others that Newegg goes out of their way to guarantee that their buyers are happy and get what they paid for.Overall I am genuinely grateful and happy with this buy. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:-Could do with a higher cache but it isn't really neccesary
Pros:+Good stock speed+Low temperatures w/Coolit Eco+Quicker rendering+Renders 1080p No problem+Unlocked Comment:
I really don't have anything to complain about this processor other than that the cache is 8mb rather than 12mb but I haven't had any issues that could be related to that. My previous processor was a Q9550 on LGA775 and even though the old chip was a quad core I definitely saw a performance increase. It's also very easy to overclock compared to my old one, I've been sitting at 4.2ghz as a daily clock. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:-Pricey for users on a budget-Only worth the upgrade from i5's for Video Editing of multithreading heavy applications. Not useful plus for gaming.
Pros:-Overclocking heaven-Heavy multitasking abilities-Video Editing champion with Premiere Pro -Worth price different with non-k version Comment:
Bought this recently to upgrade my Quad Core Q9300 PC. Paired with an AsRock Extreme 4 motherboard and 16GB ram! Didn't cost an arm and a leg and it's mighty powerful. Also built my dad's rig around this CPU and it's been running awesome for the past 6 months. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:Lead to an ultimately more expensive build, but well worth it.
Pros:Excellent valueCrazy speedsLoves to OC Comment:
This chip has been a dream come true.5 ghz on air in the basement and air conditioning, 4.6 ghz on the top floor... stable no matter how long I run the intel burn test.I though a lot of the user reports where just hype, but this chip has been so OC friendly, and so blistering fast I really cannot recommend it enough. The only bad thing is that my current rig makes just about any other PC feel like a relic... which sucks because I fix PCs quite often haha. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:can be a little pricy for the average user but this cpu is an enthusiast piece of kit.
Pros:Speed, speed, speed, unlocked multiplier, runs cool, requires low volts for stable oc, price can be very good for what you get. Comment:
I have been wanting to upgrade from my dual core 8400 core 2 duo for a long while now and never wanted to invest in the early i5/i7 chips knowing that sandy bridge would be a significant improvement and it is definitely that and more.I bought this cpu for gaming, multimedia, audio production, photo editing and heavy overclocking.Out of the box with a gigabyte z68xp-ud4 this chip clocks to 4.5ghz without even looking at the voltages.. prime95 large fft with a coolit freezone and it barely hits 70.. i couldnt dream of doing this with older cpus.I managed to snag this cpu shipped after tax for 330 (not from ncix) ..not cheap by any stretch but what makes it worth it in my eyes is a) its an intel cpu, nuff said. b) its still one of the best cpus out there right now (bulldozer is almost upon us so it may take the lead) and c) has an unlocked multiplier an tons of headroom for guys like me.. push that sucker!i could go on for days about this proc but Ill just sum it up by saying that I was looking for a high end replacement for my aging dual core chip and boy does this ever fit the bill.. i do not plan on upgrading for at least 3-4 years and for that reason this cpu is worth its price. xont think twice about it.. if you want a superb cpu and have the extra to grab the 26 over the 25 just grab it! |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:none
Pros:fast, quiet fan Comment:
First time purchase i7, usually purchase AM3 cpu's since their power is more than adequate for most people. Like the i7 cpu connection better than the many pins on AM3. Stock fan is quiet and easy to install. If the price is right, will purchase again. |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Cons:Non
Pros:-4 cores plus hyper threading is amazing-Overclocks with ease (4.4 GHz without even really trying)-Good temperatures Comment:
This processor is a beast. First thing I did after getting the system configured was to overclock. I managed to squeeze 4.4 GHz out of this thing at 1.3411 V and the temps never have gotten over 60 deg running prime 95. This is with using a Corsair H100 cooler in a Corsair 650D with the rear exhaust fan configured as intake. This processor paired with a Z68 is a win combo! |

Intel Core i7-2600K Processor 3.4GHz LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop
Comment:
Packing was typical Intel fare, included HSF is sufficient. Now, I could have bought a i5 2500K (which delivers comparable performance for 贘 less), but I decided to go major, or go household. In the end... I think the i7 is where the funds is at proper now. Certain... 2011 sockets aren't too far off, but cost will be a limiting factor. Expense premium over i5 is substantial versus performance improve. |
