Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
none come to mind
Pros: Easy overclocking, great value for dollar, 4 cores 8 threads Comment:
Love this processor! Running on an Asus P6X58D-E, overclocked to 4.05GHz - easy! Simple to push past 4.2GHz if you have sufficient cooling. Would definitely recommend and buy again. |

Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
LGA 1366 is still expensive
Pros: Extremely easy to overclock, good processor Comment:
LGA 1366 motherboards + cpu + ram is still a pretty pricey purchase, but if you do buy one you won't regret it. You HAVE to overclock this thing, it would be criminal not to, it's just too easy. Even if you run the stock intel heatsink you can probably easily push it to 3.5ghz without any trouble. The sheer overclockability of the thing makes it a great value. |

Cons:
price may be too expensive for some people
Pros: Fast comes with a fan stillattractive box Comment:
Perfect for everything you need it to do and more. Also overclocks easily like a dream. Definitely should be picking intel over AMD at this point.Similar to the 920 just slightly newer. Price is good when compared to other chips. Don't need to spend more on higher end when you can easily oc this |

Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None.
Pros: Great overclocking even on air. Very good value for the price. Comment:
I held off on building a 920 D0 machine and I'm glad I waited. Liking the 930 a lot as it's got great oc'ing potential even on air. I got it on sale too (sub $300), which made it even better. |

Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
Price.
Pros: Raw quad core power. Runs very cool. Overclocks very well. Comment:
Nice chip. Running it on an ASUS P6X58D-E with some OCZ Gold 1600MHZ memory. Over clocks very easily to 4.0GHZ. With some tweaking, I got the 930 up to 4.5GHZ. |

Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None.
Pros: Good price, good stock settings, excellent versatility in over-clocking. Comment:
When I first started to build my new machine I was eying the i7 920 D0, but then when I actually got the finances together this little guy came around. There is not much to say that has not already been said, but the 930 is the perfect balance of power and price for anyone looking to bust into X58. It is fast and can handle and awful lot with stock settings, but its ability to ridiculously over-clock makes it a sure winner with gamers and people wanting to future proof their builds as much as possible. In my opinion, price, performance and versatility considered, this is the best CPU currently on the market. |

Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
none really for now anyway
Pros: Power and good cost. Comment:
This is the high en CPU from intel i was able to easely overclock it to 4.0Ghz. ( using the noctua NH-U12P cooler) Otherwise this is one of the best SPU on the planet. Good price and good overclock is the Intel trademark now i think!" |

Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
None
Pros: SpeedMulti-threadMulti-Core Comment:
This is a great chip in the new 1366 socket series. Slightly better stock speed than the original 920, but overclocks just as well and with the right setup you can even get this to 4.0 Ghz on air. Price is good too when you compare to the other 1366 chips |

Cons:
Not a 6-core
Pros: Great CPUMore OC potential then 920Stock heatsink is ok Comment:
This CPU has more potential then the 920 with the extra multiplier. I run it at 3.33 Ghz on air with the stock heatsink with idle temp around 44C. |

Great Chip
Comment:
What a great chip so far. paired up with a evga x58 sli and a h50... 4.0 mhz and 61c max temps under load without having to kill it with voltage. well worth the price diff of a 920 in my opinion |

Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
I'm sure there are some, but I can't think of them now.
Pros: FastCheapFlat Comment:
This is a great CPU if you're looking to get into the 1366 socket but don't wanna blow a whole bunch of cash. It's fast enough on stock setting but there's pretty much a provincial law that requires me to overclock this baby. Overclocking is easy even with stock air. If you put an after market cooler on this baby, she'll fly.Another good thing about this CPU is that I've found the HIS to be extremely flat. I lapped my heatsink, but not my CPU as I wanted to keep the warranty. The CPU idles at 25 C and under load, peaks at around 45. This pleases me. |

Built my first gaming rig with this cpu. It's Super fast! Haven't had any problems. I've downloaded movies, ran spyware and Virus scans all at the same time as I surf the net and it STILL runs fast. That's without overclocking too!! Asus P6x58D Premium MB OCZ DDR3 Triple channel RAM 6gb GTX 260 GPU Run all my games with the highest settings and they run smooth and look great!! |

Blazing fast
Comment:
I bought this CPU and paired it with EVGA X58 SLI Intel X58 Socket LGA1366 Motherboard and Cooler Master HAF 932 Full Tower Black Case. Running COD:Modern Warfare 2 on full settings the CPU doesn't get above 40 C with the stock heatsink. My only complaints with this CPU have to do with the extensive customization that is possible but the extreme lack of documentation. Basically all you get is an installation guide in 30 different languages and one sentence explanations of what the different settings are and no configuration suggestions. To get full functionality out of this CPU you will need to do some serious research on both the CPU and the motherboard and memory to ensure compatibility across the board. That said, it runs super fast on default settings and I really do love the processor, just not so happy with Intel's documentation. |

Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
none
Pros: Cutting edge architecture, great overclocker, best value on LGA1366. Comment:
I had been looking to build a new system around an i7 920 ever since core i7 launched, but couldnt get around to it until this new 930 hit. It has met all my expectations. Slightly higher stock speeds then the last lowest end 1366 cpu, and seems to overclock as well as the best of those. |

Intel Core i7-930 2.8GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:
Not 35nm, only 4 cores :)
Pros: Fast, Stable, Inexpensive Comment:
For $300 you can't go wrong here. Running 4.0Ghz w 1.288v or 3.9GHz at 1.23v. Temps 30c idle 57c full load prime95 using a Zalman CNPS10X Extreme CPU Cooler. I can't imagine neeeding more. Scored 8324 on the Passmark cpu test. Check their site and see where that is! Crazy, I almost bought the 960 but for $300 more I am glad I didn't. This is all the cpu you need if you overclock. At the stock speeds it's not much faster than my old Q9650 which was running at 3.8GHz. So maybe the 960 is for you, but if you are set to OC this thing flies! |

IZ 930
Comment:
Great chip, fast and runs all the software much better that my Core 2 quad |
For the price of the previous 920, you really can't go wrong with the i7 930. It's fast, and easy to overclock. Definitely very good value for the price.Yes, if you just want to game, the HT is useless, but many of us also use the same computer to watch movies, run Photoshop and other applications. This processor will do all of the above without any hiccups. In hindsight, if I wanted to spend more, I would have gotten the Extreme edition for easy OC, but this is a good processor nevertheless.
