Intel Core i7-960 3.2GHz LGA 1366 Quad-Core Processor
Cons:cost compared to the 920 only

Pros:Very fast & fits a nice price point.
Comment:
very impressed with the processor - best value for that i7 price point between the 2.93 and the 3.06, etc - and avoids the ultra-high cost of the extreme processors.this is overclockable too - after all, that's not just the realm of the 920.plus oem means no fan included - so buy a thermalright ultra 120 extreme, slap on a noctua fan and you're laughing

I7 960 is a solid CPU
Comment:
While not as cheap as the 920 the stock speeds are very good at 3.2ghz. With fan cooling at idle temps I'm getting average of 45 C. I have used it for almost 1 month now and I have no regrets. Shipping was also fast.

This is fast stock without OC
Comment:
Speed rules, and this is a fast chip. Paired with an Intel SSD drive, and DDR3-1600 RAM, the chip flies! With a Zalman CNPS9900 CPU fan and AS5, I easily OC this chip to 4.0Ghz on air with temps in the 75C range. I backed off to 3.8Ghz, and with 2 hour Prime95 stress run, CPU temps stay around 70C. Even stock at 3.2Ghz, this chips rips. As I said, with an SSD, fast RAM and a Radeon HD5870 video card, my machine just rips through Photoshop and Video encoding. Games, fuggit about it! If you want to save money, get an i7-920. If you can afford this chip, go for it and don't look back.
