Intel EXPI9301CT PCI-Express Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter
Cons:None?
Pros:Excellent, high performance, well supported in all OSes, cheap. Comment:
I've been using Intel NICs for years. Whenever a Broadcom or Realtek motherboard chipset causes crashes, has crappy performance, or other undiagnosed problems, Intel NICs are here to save the day. They include every feature you could want, are incredibly stable and high performance, and work with everything. You're doing yourself a disservice by using anything else. |
After building a server that had two PCI x16 slots, I realized I needed more Ethernet ports than the 5 I had. The second slot was being used for a RAID controller and the only slots left were the x1 ones. After looking and looking for a dual port x1 card, I had to resort to this. Works great but I wish there were x1 cards that were dual port.
