I bought this to upgrade a Dell. Simple installation, worked fine out of the box. Runs cool and didn't overload the Dell heatsink.I bought this because the Dell doesn't support overclocking. If your motherboard can overclock, then save money and by an appropriate e5x00 instead.If you're building a new system, don't buy this. The new chips on new platforms are faster and cheaper.
