Cons:None
Pros:Does the job and is Quiet Comment:
What a great little processor. I bought this to put into a Windows Home Server box and was originally planning to buy a 1.8 GHz cpu but this was on sale. Very happy with this as it runs quiet, quiet, quiet. Highly recommended for similar builds. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.2GHZ 800FSB 1MB Retail
Cons:stock cooler looks way to small, but i guess it does the job at stock speeds.
Pros:Overclocks well on stock intel cooling. Comment:
this is going into a folding machine. overclocked it from 2.2 upto 3.3 ghz and its rock solid. using the stock cooler from a q6600 the temps dont go over 60 after 24+ hours full load. |

Pros:CheapQuickReliableIntelC2D! Comment:
Great little processor. Using it in a server. So far so good. I'm actually surprised with how quick this thing is. Alot faster than I was expecting thats for sure. I'd like to see a comparison of this compared to a similar priced athlon. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.2GHZ 800FSB 1MB Retail
Cons:Low in cache and clock speed
Pros:Great overclocking, low heat and power comsuption Comment:
The cache is low and for 5$ more you can get a E5200 that has twice the cache and a higher clock speed, but the mobo that I got (945GZ) isn't compatible with the latest cpu so I took this one, I thaught that because of the low cache the performance wouldn't be incredible and I was wrong the only application that I have seen suffer from it are recent video games |

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.2GHZ 800FSB 1MB Retail
This review was modfied by poster @ 09-06-08 10:57 AM |

Cons:-----
Pros:CheapGreat for casual gamerGets the job done and moreCan be overclocked Comment:
Great CPU. Noticed the improvement over my old Venice 3000. Dual core is great when running multiple apps. Most of my games like CSS, HL2, TF2, COD4 and others run better. Would definitely recommended and buy again. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.2GHZ 800FSB 1MB Retail
Cons:temperature climbs heavily at full load (overclocked)runs at half-power/speed most of the time
Pros:low cost/good multiplier -> good overall value while OC'edcache penality doesn't affect video editing Comment:
depending on your board, this can get a good overclock.i was able to get to 3.0ghz stable gets to 60 degrees on full load with an ocz vindicator in an antec Nine-Hundred.higher multiplier compared to the e2180 but it often requires more voltage at the same clock. may be tricky to overclockbought at reduced price |

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.2GHZ 800FSB 1MB Retail
Cons:Small HSF
Pros:Fast and easy to install Comment:
I got to go into my mean machine and works very well. I have overclocked this baby and was finally able to reach over 20000 on 3Dmark01 SE which is a personal sought after benchmark. This CPU overclocks very well but I've only gone up to 2.6GHz but I could go more if I wanted to it seems.I'll probably hang onto this CPU for awhile so my next purchase will be to replace my 7300gt card. Maybe I'll reach 30000 on the bench but that remains to be seen. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.2GHZ 800FSB 1MB Retail
Cons:None.
Pros:Excellent value given cost:performance. Comment:
IMO, a 2.2GHz dual-core at < $100CDN represents excellent value. The E2200 offers plenty of processing power for Vista Home Premium (64-bit), gaming and running multiple applications/browser windows/media players simultaneously. Excluding some more intense tasks, the lower cache size (1MB) is a minor concern for me. The stock HSF is relatively small but appears to be adequate and the fan is quiet. In my Cooler Master 690 w/ three low-speed 120mm fans the E2200 hits ~24°C under regular use and ~45°C under load (Prime95). |

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.2GHZ 800FSB 1MB Retail
Cons:-Small HSF-Runs warm at stock voltage
Pros:-Runs relatively cool-Fast at stock Comment:
I was surprised by the small HSF included for this processor but it was able to cool my processor at stock speeds and stay relatively quiet. I have not overclocked my processor, and have no intentions to do so. Actually I am planning to undervolt this processor to make it run a little bit cooler because it was running at around 55 under load at stock, which is a bit high. |

Cons:none
Pros:cheapvery fast especially when overclockedrun cool Comment:
I got this for my Gigabyte GA-G31MX-S2 motherboard. I'm running it at 2.75 Ghz with stock voltage. Temperature is below 35 degrees with medium load. I'm sure I could overclock it more, but it's already fast enough for me :). |

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.2GHZ 800FSB 1MB Retail
Cons:Seriously, none.
Pros:Fast (Core2 microarchitecture)CheapOverclocks like crazyIncluded HSF is adequate Comment:
The e2xxx series is based on the Intel Core2 Duo architecture, but with less cache and a much smaller price point. In practice the difference between Pentium Dual Core (not to be confused with Netburst "Pentium D") and the Core2 Duo is NEGLIGIBLE, and you'll save 70-100 bucks with this one.Processor overclocks like crazy. 2.2-> 2.7 on first try with no voltage up. Have not gone higher because it's unnecessary. (In comparison, my 90nm Athlon X2 topped out at 2.44 up from 2.2)EIST works well, and is fairly transparent. Temperatures are excellently low. Idles at 19C and load never exceeds 32C with Noctua UF-120At |
This was for a friend's budget build that cost less than my graphics card :)= Works great though for smooth everyday use without gaming.
