Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box
Cons:none
Pros:PriceLGA1155Sandy Bridge Comment:
I needed a better CPU to restore an outdated HP system and this did the trick. The motherboard was 1155 platform and even though the CPU was not listed as being supported it worked just fine. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box
Cons:locked multi, not ivy bridge
Pros:cheap, fast, low power consumption Comment:
great little cpu for 99% of people. used in a budget gaming rig built for a friend. money is better spent on GPU and that's exactly what we did. paired with a radeon 7850 with no bottlenecking. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box
Cons:none found
Pros:Cheap, economical, great value Comment:
Paired it with a matx B75 asus mobo, for a budget gaming rig with a radeon 7750. With an 120G SSD it goes from pressing the power button to the login screen in win 7 in 20 seconds on the watch. Compared with my old E6500 the games I play look so much better - not the newest, more like Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3. Excellent value. Plus, power consumption is low so I was able to get away with an SFX PS at 300W on my rig. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box
Cons:Non
Pros:Cheap, fast, socket 1155 Comment:
This was for HTPC build. Paired this with a ssd and it feels just as fast as my i3/i5 for running win7, xbmc, and surfing. Intel HD graphics is more then enough for streaming 1080p video through xbmc. I did buy a discrete and have both running atm. GT 610 running my tv and Intel HD running a small lcd. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box
Cons:None at this price
Pros:Good solid perfomer, no issues at all. Comment:
Bought my first for use in an HTPC and it has performed flawlessly for me in an H67 based board...The second one was put into a budget build with a B75 chipset. At first I had constant BSOD due to video, but it turns out that if you install the video drivers before installing Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 then that is to be expected. Once I got that all worked out I had no issues at all and it has been a champ.I will continue to use this CPU for budget builds since for none gaming use they are all you need. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box
Cons:-DDR3 1333 no higher, but lower CL is supported.-3 core would be nice, intel never do 3 cores
Pros:-fast enough to run some high level single thread programs such as CAD software-cooler does the job and decent noise level.-probably soldered IHS not like ivy bridge-yes it does run cool. 25-45 degrees even with stock cooler at 50% Comment:
-got 2 when on sale.haven't build the other computer yet. but the one i finished is using a mechanical hard drive and it has good speed already.the second which i will keep will use an ocz vertex 3 drive on asrock b75m-gl motherboard. will be interesting to see the result of that.supposed to make no difference on gaming once a nice video card is placed vs 4 and 6 cores. even on a high resolution monitor. i can't testify that yet. i am sure it will live up to the other's reviews. using it for a movie machine only. will run it 24/7 no turning off due to low temp and low power consumption.boot speed with ssd should be very close to my 6 core and other 4 core intel system i built last year. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box
Cons:None
Pros:At sub $60 it offers very good performance, runs cool, maintains energy efficiency, offers on-board graphics, most features Sandy Bridge is known for. Comment:
This is my second one and I remain impressed with the features/performance/value. Dual core handles applications with relative ease. Great budget CPU with adequate performance. In retail package comes with cooler. Can be upgraded later on as it is made for upgrade compatible 1155 socket. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box

Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box
Cons:None.
Pros:Fast enough for super cheap. Doesn't compromise too much like the old Celeron's back in the day. Comment:
As mentioned, AMD used to do well in the budget area, as Intel used to demand a premium for its budget CPUs. However, this little cheapy is fast for the price. I downgraded from an i5 2500K and haven't noticed a difference in the games I play. It's nice that games are so dependent on video cards now cuz u can build a fast system for cheap. I paired this up with a $50 gigabyte board and 16GB of ram and that is a alot of bang for the buck... and intel stuff is always rock solid and stable. |

Intel Pentium Dual Core G860 Processor LGA1155 3.0GHZ 3MB Retail Box
Cons:Since there is no overclocking, I would have liked turbo available on the low-end processors too.
Pros:Runs cool even with stock cooler,dual-core, price, snappy performer Comment:
Used this in a new build to replace an old Prescott 3.2Ghz system. I wanted to build a light gaming/all around system that wouldn't break the bank. This thing idles k 30c and is 43c stressed. The cooler is quiet even at max rpms-barely noticeable. Performance gains are noticeable vs old-higher clocked system w/hyper threading. |
I'd suggest to get the i3 for around $100-150, rather than this CPU, even though this is cheaper.
