Intel Pentium G3220 Dual Core 3.0GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell 3MB Cache Retail
Cons:none
Pros:-pretty good performance for a 60 dollar CPU-quiet even with a stock cooler-low temps Comment:
Great CPU for a budget gaming rig or for a HTPC. Its performance equivalent would be something like a core 2 quad q6600 |

Intel Pentium G3220 Dual Core 3.0GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell 3MB Cache Retail
Cons:Slow.
Pros:Works, cheap, integrated graphics. Comment:
I bought for temp use while waiting for my 4790k. However it is way to slow for my liking. Might be decent in an htpc but it will likely choke under 4k unless the media player decoding it uses QuickSync. Is slower than my old Q9550. Imo better to spend it on a G3258 and overclock the heck out of it. |

Bought 5 of these for office use. All of them work great for a year straight. I ended up pairing these with SSD's, so, everything is extremely speedy. Plan to buy more soon. |

Intel Pentium G3220 Dual Core 3.0GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell 3MB Cache Retail
Cons:Only dual core, no hyper-threading
Pros:Fast clock, good cache size, very low power consumption Comment:
If you're looking for the basic of basic, then this is the CPU to go for. I personally use it in a mining rig where CPU power is essentially moot, and it works perfectly. The stock cooler is nice and low profile, and doesn't make much noise at all. All in all for the price, you can't ask for much more (OK maybe hyper-threading). |

Intel Pentium G3220 Dual Core 3.0GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell 3MB Cache Retail
Cons:No turbo boost.
Pros:-Amazing value CPU-Fantastic performance for the money-Integrated graphics Comment:
This is an amazing value "budget" CPU - it's competitive with a quad core AMD Phenom II from a few years ago (and this one is only a dual core). The CPU has super low power consumption and is very fast. The only knock on it is that there's no turbo boost, but a max of 3 GHz and Intel Haswell-generation CPU and GPU technology is great. |

Intel Pentium G3220 Dual Core 3.0GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell 3MB Cache Retail
Cons:doesn't make coffee
Pros:Fast, low cost, supports ECC RAM Comment:
I'm amazed at the performance of this thing for such a low price. I'm using it in a Freenas build where it's acting as the heart of a home NAS. Running the ZFS filesystem requires a reasonable CPU, but I'm getting sustained read rates of around 310 Mbits/sec from the system which is quite pleasing. Also note this CPU supports ECC RAM if you choose a motherboard & chipset to match it. Great value processor. |

Cons:None
Pros:Easy to installCheap Haswell Processor Comment:
Purchased for essentially a backup server running Windows server 2012 with 8GB RAM.It runs surprisingly fast considering the lowly processor rating. Lowing it and would consider purchasing one again. |

Pros:cheap with good performance Comment:
Best processor you can buy for the price. Really good for simple office use and day to day work. I don't think you can find something cheaper when it's on sale. If you don't plan to O/C, get this useful little CPU. |

Intel Pentium G3220 Dual Core 3.0GHZ Processor LGA1150 Haswell 3MB Cache Retail
Cons:A stronger IGP will be better
Pros:Low power, powerful. Bang for the buck Comment:
A very well bang for the buck cpu. I highly recommend this chip for basic office use and light gaming |
I'm using this as an xbmc / Ubuntu / Steam streaming box pc and so far it has worked flawlessly. I have had no issues running xbmc, any emulators including dolphin, running any apps etc... For this price point it's a no brainer to use this chip on a media box. Great value.
