Not a replacement for a true KVM
Comment:
I have 2 powerful computers with 4 gb ram on one and 6gb on the other, both have gaming high end video cardsplenty of power. If you watch the video for this, youd think this is a great ideaand it isif it worked like a true KVM. The main problem with this is LAG! If your always working with 2 computers like I do, this not an option. The lag is bad, similar to bad WebX or Citrix connection. The file sharing and the ability to plug in a shared USB drive is greatI thought I would just use my old KVM and leave this hooked up but there are other problems like my other USB accessories constantly lose there connection, the mouse flutters on the remote computer, with a dual monitor on the host computer and the remote screen on that monitor it crashes when minimizing and last but not least it crashes often when moving around fast. Its pretty much a useless accessorymaybe some day Ill use it again when no network is available to share files. My first Iogear purchaseIm not impressed. |
Although I got product to work, it is unstable and very "buggy". Not recommended for a reliable KVM application between two computers.
