Comments: I lately just lately got this graphic card and its good all my games appear really sharp and it runs smooth and the fan on this card is very quiet. I like the reality that it came with the seriously small bracket (which i necessary for my Mini-PC) and i adore it! I Recommended this for low profile computers.

If you have a old Dell Optiplex GX240-270 modest desktop computer system this card does the trick for enhancing graphics. It works with Windows XP/Vista or Ubuntu Linux without a hitch. I've bought three so far, no issues. Nvidia isn't offering driver updates for this card making use of Vista, you're kinda stuck with what's on the CD that ships with the card (no issue with XP or Ubuntu). Thanks New Egg, not a massive choice on the low profile cards but some is certainly far better than none.

It fits a Dell GX260 SSf. Other than that it's a affordable way to bring graphics to a mobo without having integrated video. *Note: This is the very first Newegg evaluation I've ever completed, but this card sucks so considerably that I just had to vent!It was the greatest low profile card I could find & that's not saying significantly! At the time I bought this it was the only factor that I could uncover to fit an old Dell GX260 SSF. In the distant past I've owned other FX5200 cards, and they had been in PCI format, and would still eat this AGP format card for breakfast!. So unless you're desperate for a low profile card do oneself a favor & skip this 1. Realizing the small Gx260 was not a superior testbed for this card I decided to wring it out in an old P4 3.0Ghz HT 800fsb method 1 Gb PC3200 ram, with XP Pro.This card couldn't keep up with my other really old HP running a P4 two.5 Ghz 400 fsb 1 GB PC2700, XP Home, that uses an Nvidia 6200 PCI card!Folks this is an AGP card & it won't even out perform my PCI cards...even those cards produced with the exact same chip and running on a slower bus!

JATON GeForce FX 5200 3DFORCE FX5200TV Video Card
Comment:
This card does just fine when it comes to DVDs, streaming video, older games, etc. I have it in an old Dell Optiplex connected to a TV as a media center and I like it just fine except that.... It will NOT function with streamed Netflix Watch Now movies with only a TV plugged into it. For some messed up reason, nvidia drivers don't like the Netflix DRM. Netflix says it will work fine if you plug in a VGA monitor and a TV, but not with a TV only. Go figure. Anyways, get an ATI if you plan to stream Netflix. I would be completely satisfied with this card if it weren't for the pathetic DRM problems. Yet another case of paying buyers becoming shortchanged by archaic, draconian anti-piracy measures. There are a couple of hacks to bypass the problem. One consists of soldering 75 Ohm resistors to a VGA plug to make a monitor dummy. This did not function for me. The other fix is to rollback the drivers to older version. This also did not work for me nor did Omega drivers.
