This works nicely with a Belkin Omni View SE four-Port KVM. Just what I was hunting for to get additional life out of my KVM. The Acer Power 1000 recognized the keyboard and mouse by means of the KVM employing this converter. None at this time.

Functions with Several devices, including Wii, MacOS 9 by means of USB PCI Card on beige Mac G3, and Linux Drop keys like crazy, including forgetting to deactivate meta-keys on release if held down (see below) (Typed directly with UPS2C adapter utilizing Focus FK9200 keyboard devoid of manual corrections to shw drops) have had drops with other keyboards, but this is the worst one. I thik the drop price depends on how rapid yu type. Most men and women usin wireless keyboards would have difficulty tellig if the keyboard dro would be due to the wireless commuication or the adapter tself.I hope this text is an illustration of the drps keys. did right any mstypes I think I made manually, so wat I said abve isn't absolutely correct.

-It performs on a MAC. I have been through three that supposedly do the same, this is the only one particular that worked. So now I do not have to commit yet another massive amount of funds on yet another USB keyboard and mouse. I am only in Linux on my MAC so I have no clue how it operates on OS X but it ought to work fine! -Affordable remedy to KVM and MAC problems equivalent to this! It IS a bit larger than anticipated but I truly do not care at all. It's not significantly of a major deal. I would rather have something somewhat big and function than smaller and not work at all! The Cord size is a bit tiny but with some PS2 extension cords it must be fine. All in all, no major complaints and works suitable out of the box My MAC under no circumstances came with a keyboard and I did not want to invest one more huge amount, so I got converters and everything! All the other people went back to the shop and this was the final attempt just before I had to cave in and get keyboard and mouse. This has really been a life saver! I advocate this to absolutely everyone!I also want to add Neweggs super quick shipping. I ordered it Thurs. morning and was at my door Friday Morning. 24 hours! Thanks Newegg!!!

Only uses one particular USB port for 2 devices. Performs proper out of the box. Keyboard port sticks out a small with legacy white Dell Quietkey keyboards. Not actually a negative, but it took 1 restart of the Computer to locate Keyboard and mouse. Cheap, does its job.

Low price tagcompactuncomplicated Keyboard connector does not seat all of the way, but appears to make speak to. It does what I expected it to do. It performs. I have an IBM PSǘ mouse and IBM PSǘ keyboard connected to the Kingwin UPS2C adapter utilizing a single USB two. port on my Gateway laptop. When the O/S recognized it, it booted up to the external keyboard and mouse, every time.

Compatible with Wii, MacOS 9.x, MacOS X, Linux Drops keys (even releases of meta-keys). This was determined by not experiencing similar drops with same keyboard plugged into PS2 ports. This product permits a single to hold employing old PSǘ peripherals with current motherboards. I had problems utilizing it with an Asus ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AM3 motherboard operating Ubuntu 9.ten. The mouse froze intermittently. But other users have also reported issues with PSǘ peripherals under Ubuntu; the Kingwin adapter could perform rather properly in other software environments. At some point I settled on an internal USB-to-PSǘ adapter, which has not been without having its problems but which I've been in a position to make fairly trustworthy. This has enabled me to continue utilizing my old, expensive ergonomic keyboard and PSǘ primarily based KVM switch.

It works will a number of PSǘ keyboards, like my old IBM Model M. I have not tried to use a PSǘ keyboard AND a PSǘ mouse at the very same time. My Model M functions flawlessly with no lag...soon after the system's done booting. There is important lag in the BIOS with the keyboard. I presume that ahead of the OS USB drivers are loaded, the ones that help USB keyboards in the BIOS are significantly less-than-stellar. I can play Group Fortress 2 through this point with no issues. I still die a lot in the game, though, I'm pretty certain it's not due to keyboard lag or errors.

I have an old Raritan KVM and a new Dell Poweredge SC 440 that I required to manage. Plugged the keyboard of the KVM into the adapter and the adapter into the server and presto, FreeBSD 6.2 saw the keyboard! None Good clean design. I like the single block for connecting keyboard and mouse into and the brief eight" USB cable is best. I plan to buy more.

None. I run a tiny Computer repair shop. I attempted this adapter on 3 distinct Pc desktops and 4 various laptops even attempted utilizing distinct brands of keyboards and mice. So far not recognized by any system. In a pinch, I was forced to get a replacement adapter at ideal acquire for just beneath thirty dollars. The best purchase adapters functions fantastic in anything I've attempted it on. Dead On Arrival. Not worth the time or income to send it back.Roll the dice and purchase this one.

Comments: I knew it was also good to be accurate. My PSǘ keyboard port on my mobo stopped operating. Previously, my PSǘ mouse port went, so I currently have a USB mouse. Now I required a USB keyboard as well...but of course I can't just get a บ USB keyboard, they are all ฮ+ and come with all this extraneous XXXX. So I find this USB to PSǘ adapter and feel, this will be good and its only ม and I can use any PSǘ keyboard and mouse once more. Right? Incorrect. It appears to perform fine for browsing the internet, word processing, and so on. But if you try and play a 3D game that utilizes a lot of CPU time, it all goes to XXXX. There is significant keyboard lag. The mouse (USB mouse to PSǘ adapter to Kingwin adapter) seems fine and does not lag, but the PSǘ keyboard, going thru the adapter, just does not respond timely; from time to time not at all. At occasions, you hold down the button to move forward, and it just doesn't move you forward; alternatively you have to choose up your finger and press the button again for it to respond. Poor Undesirable Undesirable. Borrowed a friend's straight USB keyboard, and that is fine. So its obviously the adapter causing the challenge.

If you need a PSǘ-to-USB converter to use with your existing PSǘ-style KVM switch and one particular of the newer motherboards with either or 1 PSǘ sockets, then this is one you must attempt.Purchased 10 of these and they all function well in between the two PSǘ-style KVM switches I have and the 3 kinds of motherboards. The KVM switches tested are the IOGEAR GCS614A (for four computer systems) and IOGEAR GCS612A (for two computer systems). The converter worked properly with each mouse and keyboard connected to it and with only the mouse connected to the converter (i.e., keyboard connected to the motherboard port).Never saw any lag in mouse or keyboard functionality compared to directly connecting the mouse and keyboard to the system. Keyboard worked well when editing BIOS settings.Unlike USB-style KVM switches, there is no delay when you switch to/from the method with the converter. Only one technique had any challenges with the converter (over reactive mouse) and that was fixed by rebooting the laptop. Also, I have no thought how effectively this converter works without using a KVM switch (i.e., mouse/keyboard-to-converter-to-personal computer), simply because that is not why I purchased it and I did not test that configuration. Not a Con, but don\'t forget that some motherboards do not put out enough USB energy to assistance adapters, USB drives, and so forth., so be positive to test the converter on a number of systems if you encounter a issue. I suspect that this is the dilemma encountered by other people who have reported poor final results with this converter. If you run into this circumstance, plugging the converter into a powered USB hub really should repair the difficulty. I ran into this a long time ago on a Dell system with a Cables-to-Go USB converter and a powered USB hub fixed the difficulty. Be positive to Enable/Allow Legacy USB assistance in BIOS. Also, make the PSǘ connection(s) before plugging in the USB cable, particularly when you are hot-swapping (below) the converter.Unlike other converters I tested, you can boot with the converter and then unplug/replug the USB cable or swap to another converter (hot-swap). You can even boot without the converter in spot and then plug it in.This converter appears to do every thing I want or may need to have it to do.

This factor Operates!!! Most newer mother boards only have PSǘ for keyboards so you ought to use USB for your mouse. I tried a couple other adapters but ALL have been junk, causing havoc with the mouse handle (including 1 item from Newegg!!). To make a PSǘ KVM switch function nicely regardless of your mouse port - USE THIS ITEM!!!! ------------ This WILL resolve your USB to PSǘ mouse challenges!!!!!

Has worked ideal because day 1.My pc is actually a corporation provided laptop that is fairly tiny and the keyboard layout is awful. The firm gave me a MS keyboard to use that doubles as a USB hub so you can straight connect your mouse to it to conserve USB ports (Great for my laptop) but the keyboard was in such negative shape with sticky keys and keys you had to pound to get to work that I gave it back. Now with this adapter, I can use my IBM P/S2 keyboard and MS Mouse (with USB to PSǘ adapter) and all is good and only utilizes 1 USB port. Soon after reading other feedback, I don't genuinely assume this is a negetive, but, I had to reboot the Pc ahead of the computer recognized the PSǘ keyboard Newegg Rocks! Quite a few purchases. Under no circumstances a issue.
