KINGWIN USB to PS2 Adapter
Comment:
Operates good with fast Psǘ keyboard input, 10-crucial multi-crucial rollover. Very tiny input lag. Limit of 10 simultaneous key presses (compared to 20 for a PS2 keyboard) I got this precise USB to PS2 adapter on the recommendation of the company that produced my MAME arcade cabinet. I had just replaced the old tower laptop or computer inside my cabinet with a mini technique that did not have PSǘ inputs. I had tried two different PS2 to USB adapters, such as one particular high-end one particular, and each failed miserably at processing the input from the arcade controls (which were sent as normal Hotrod PSǘ crucial presses). The Kingwin adapter on the other hand, worked like a champ. The best way I can put is to say that utilizing it, I scored 800,000 points playing Arcade emulated Robotron on the default settings. Not significantly of a far better way to say it handled anything great when others failed.

I have employed these with a couple of Mac and hackintosh boxes, making use of a many diverse old PS2 mouses and keyboards. They work perfectly with every setup. Can use with only a mouse, OR only a keyboard, OR with each plugged in -- operates in every combination, appropriately sensing the hardware in use.Operates perfectly with XP and Vista, as well. None, other than rather ugly look. But is on the back of the box... Be careful, a lot of other brands of converters do not operate properly with Mac. This a single does.

Works with a TRENDnet TK-401R four-Port Rack Mount KVM Switch. I previously tried two unknown china brand adapters on this KVM without achievement. I'm happy to see it function at all. Nicely produced. Not almost as fragile as the two china adapters I employed previously. -The mouse responds poorly: it appears jerky and lags slightly behind (slow). Occasionally, the mouse will freak out and move to the upper suitable-hand portion of the screen and randomly appropriate-click by itself. -Perhaps it looks ugly?-Costly! The china brand adapters only expense me ũ-Ū per. It seems functional for now.

Cost is reasonably priced. Plug and play so no drivers to mess with. Just be confident to adjust your bios to allow usb keyboard if you use a keyboard. Bulky. Could have been built smaller. Cord length is about appropriate. Would have been a five if it was a small smaller.

None. These Kingwin PS2-to-USB adapter are junk:- Swift keystrokes are often not registered, you must hold down the important for a moment so that it's noticed.- Gets stuck periodically repeating same crucial or not accepting input till unplugged and reconnected.- Slow response to keystrokes slows down interactions. I'm positive that this is the fault of the adapter mainly because the keyboards I tried this with worked fine when connected to PSǘ ports and provided instant, accurate and trouble-cost-free operation there.

I plugged it in and it worked perfectly with my IBM AT keyboard. I have had this keyboard for more than 20 years. It is a solid click type which you cant find today and I hated giving it up when my new Dell Pc came without having PS2 ports. none that I can think of

It is the finest value you can discover. It works excellent, with my old Dell quietkey, and Micro weal mouse. When i pluged it into my windows 7 laptop it had to scan for a driver for about five min. but immediately after that it worker excellent mostly every single time. Undoubtedly recommend You could not want to have this you only source of keyboard and mouse because it is a small glitchie. On occasion the mouse will spasm and the pointer will bounce accost the screen and close your windows. The keyboard is more trustworthy but on occasion it won't turn on when you boot the computer system up, so you would have to restart the computer system till it begins back up. I am working with on my Toshiba Satellite from 2006, the laptop or computer is to the point exactly where it gets a little too hot to use the built in, and i do't like lean so close to it when i sort. Just a matter of personal preference :)

Applied on two different Belkin KVM switches with no troubles. Attempted it with wireless Keyboard and mouse with good results also. So far I would advocate, specifically at the value. A small slow altering from one pc to a different if the important sequence is Scroll Lock twice and then down/up arrows on Belkin KVM, but no lag time if KVM has automobile switch function.

Does precisely what it's developed to do, at a reasonable price. I use this adapter to connect a server that doesn't have PS2 to a PS2 KVM switch. None. Good service from NewEgg as always :-)

Cost I have a loved MS natural keyboard pro with about 7 years on it and I don't want to change. I just upgraded my laptop and docking station and lost my psǘ connector. I believed this would solve my challenge, it did not work with my keyboard and Windows 7. Lenovo Thinkpad W510 with mini-dock three. Microsoft natural keyboard pro. MS says it can't come across a driver for the keyboard OR it just ignores it and doesn't show it at all.

Works like a charm on a wide variety of desktop systems, such as mac, windows, linux... dell, gateway, hp, emachine... This product works excellent, but other equivalent goods don't - mouse clicks randomly when moving, mouse moves erratically... etc. Was hesitant to attempt yet another of these kind of adapters after past experience. We have ㅂ of these exactly where I work as helpdesk IT hardware technician. If you adore your old PSǘ mouse and/or keyboard, this will let you use them on a new PC lacking of PSǘ ports - In this case, my sister's laptop.

It's cheap It's inexpensive, you get what you pay for. Newegg delivered it truly rapidly :) ty but it lags and causes the keyboard or mouse or both to be unusable periodically for 2-3 min if that's ok with you then the cost probably is too.

There are none Incredibly disappointed; this USB to PS2 adapter has a Really noticable delay with both keyboard and mouse, attempted to use a number of unique varieties of keyboards, and the delay was a Small much better with a microsoft keyboard, but not enough to be usable: nonetheless had to hit keys twice and double-click mouse selections when it need to have only taken 1 click. It's a real piece of junk

I necessary an adapter to connect my Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite (PSǘ) to my Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop and this adapter works in Windows XP. Have only tested it briefly but so far so very good. Did not attempt connecting a PSǘ mouse. None however. I bought numerous of the "cheaper" PSǘ to USB adapters sold online but neither worked with my Dell laptop. Immediately after performing a little research, I decided to attempt the Kingwin UPS2C and it works - at least with my PSǘ keyboard which is all I required it for.

Cons: The wire between the USB and PS/2 ports is a bit cumbersome.

Pros: Good quality connection - no problems with functionality.
Comment:
This adapter does what it's supposed to do, so technically speaking, it's great. Would prefer that there not be a wire between the USB and PS/2 ports because it seems a bit flimsy, but I guess it's designed that way so it doesn't cover up an adjacent USB port. Worked like a charm when I first plugged it in.

Cons:-some key combos disabled

Pros:-price-ease of use
Comment:
This does exactly what it is supposed to do, but I have found that while it is great to be able to hook a ps/2 keyboard to a usb port, it has not been wiyhout sacrafice. This has disabled my windows keys as well as all my special buttons, i.e. calculator, favourites and such. This review was modfied by poster @ 06-27-07 07:03 PM
