I'm using this in a Dell Vostro 1500 with Windows 7. Windows recognized it and installed the correct drivers with no problem. I get much faster speeds from my external eSata hard drive with this card vs USB. I'm glad that it came with a powered eSata port, but I don't have any way to test that functionality out yet. I hope more hardware will support power over eSata soon. |
The USB power cable is not provided. This card was limited to the speed of my card slot and the speeds were not good on my Dell D620 or D630.
