Kensington Notebook Docking Station SD100 USB Docking Station Retail Brown Box
Cons:- Non-sale pricetag
Pros:- Removes clutter- Provides additional USB ports- Props laptop, provides more breathing room- Tiny- $20 Comment:
I use my laptop for university and then dock it to a 24" monitor as well as a few USB accessories. This item allows is doing a few things for me that justifies the $20 price tag:1. Allowing for a cooler laptop by lifting it up from the desk2. Increasing the number of USB ports that I can use3. Removing cable clutter and making it convenient to disconnect the laptop from the peripherals and put it in my backpack for class use |

Kensington Notebook Docking Station SD100 USB Docking Station Retail Brown Box
Cons:none
Pros:Cheap at 19.99, worked no problem once I downloaded the drivers for Win 7. Comment:
I messed up 2 network cable connectors in 6 months plugging, and unplugging every day. Now, I freed up my USB splitter for another task, and gained a bunch more USB outlets for my camera dock, scanner, etc. It even allows me to prop my laptop up at the back for better cooling. This is the next best thing to actually having an OEM docking station. And did I say cheap? Highly recommended. |

Kensington Notebook Docking Station SD100 USB Docking Station Retail Brown Box
Cons:external power, needs manually installed drivers for 10/100 USB to ethernet.
Pros:Small, does what it is supposed to. USB! so is universal, compact. Comment:
Bought this on sale for $20 and am happy with it. When setting my notebook down at home this is much more convenient than plugging in my LAN, US mouse and headphones. Now it is down to just one USB plug. The unit is fairly small as well. Everything seems to work well. Sound is fine, but not quite as nice as my on board.Would def buy again at $20, but probly not at $70, that is too much for a minor convenience. |

Kensington Notebook Docking Station SD100 USB Docking Station Retail Brown Box
Cons:
- Kind of a useless product overall
Pros: - Does what it is intended for Comment:
I got on of these for free with the purchase of a laptop. A 70$ value free, but frankly I see no use in this product. 3 USB slots, a mic in, stereo out, and all those other ports I'd need are already on the laptop itself...having an extra of each really seems pointless unless you actually use that many usb things at once. Either way, the product does what it needs to do so if anyone needs extra ports for their laptop, I'm sure it would come in handy. |
Its a pretty good docking station for the $20 I paid for it, and for the most part, I would buy it again for that price.
