Kingston 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory
Cons:
+ None so far
Pros: + Good speed (timing)+ Good warranty |
I picked up this RAM to maximize my laptop`s memory, a Lenovo W510 with an i5-560M chipset. As my motherboard had only 2 slots available (one under the keyboard, the other on the bottom of the laptop), I bought two sticks and replaced my stock RAM, going from 4GB to 8GB. I`ve noticed some differences in performance, particularly when running Blender or multi-tasking a number of apps. No reason not to max out to 8GB really, as RAM is still one of the cheapeast upgrades you can drop into your computer.Just as a side note, if you increase your RAM above 4GB, make sure you have a 64-bit operating system, otherwise you won`t get the benefits of more memory.
