Kingston 4GB Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory KVR800D2N5K2/4G - Retail
Cons:
none so far
Pros: - value- easy to install- reliable brand Comment:
Put in a pair to upgrade an old home assembly PC, it originally has 2x1g corsair. Install took less than 5 min, and recognized right away after start up. P5B mainboard only sees 5g ram in BIOS, I'd think it's asus bios issue. Will install win 7 64bit soon to make use of extra ram. |

This ram performs quite nicely. If your looking for just plain jane memory and no fancy heat sinks on them. I would highly recommend buying this ram. You won't be disappointed, and Kingston makes quality products. |

If you're in need of RAM, just get this set. This stuff is RAM and it works like how it's supposed to, like RAM. Not too sure about compatibility stuff though, but my motherboard wasn't even on the compatibility list and it works fine :/ |

Pros:price and overclockable Comment:
great ram, just upgraded from 2GB to 4, mind you XP only reads it as 3.5GB but i'm ahead of the game when i finally go to Vista. my board is onlly supposed to run ddr2 667, but i have this ddr2 800 stuff running at 833 or 866 (can't remember) and it's been working great. best part was, i price matched this kit for $64.14, that's over a $40 savings. One thing that is not noted about these sticks is their size. They are not nearly as tall as previous sticks I have had. For those who worry about finding room for everything in a HTPC and are wanting to use DDR-2 800, these should go pretty good. The price was right. They were put into a Compaq Prescario that came preinstalled with Vista 32 and had a whopping 512 megs of ram with shared video...Yeah, going from 512 of shared ram at DDR2 667 to 3.5 gigs of non-shared DDR2 800 was a pretty big improvement.
