Cons:- Marginal overclocking headroom- Tall heatsink could be an issue with large coolers
Pros:- Stable at sock speed- Dual XMP profiles might help if the motherboard has issues running the memory at full speed- Black instead of green PCB (If you care about that sort of thing) Comment:
Good kit for Z87 motherboards with a decent price (especially with the current instant rebate). Based on many reviews, you should not expect crazy overclocking headroom (but some kits will probably overclock better than other). The kit I received on July 16th is the one with the black PCB version and not the (older) green one showed in the product pictures.Also, I'm using the memory with a G1.Sniper5 and a massive Phanteks PH-TC14PE cooler without major clearance issues. You only need to set the fan further up the cooler to clear the memory heatsink. |

Great memory DIMMs. Super fast. No problem when attached to Z87-A ASUS board. 16GB is really too much but we cannot say what will be needed with future releases of Windows! I recommand them...
