Skip to Cons The pair of sticks I got was PC2 5300 (DDR2 667). I located that out by going into CPU-Z and the highest choice I could have for that memory was DDR2 667MHz. I went into the BIOS and manually changed the timings to four-four-4-12 and even tried to up the DRAM speed to 400MHz齠Mhz in DDR2) but nonetheless, the RAM could only go as high as 700MHz. I'm quite positive newegg shipped me the wrong items(PC2 5300 instead of PC2 6400). But I can't complain about newegg.com's amazing shipping.

Quickly and trustworthy memory. I've never had any difficulties with this RAM and I'm quite happy with the efficiency. None I can think of. Heat problem (see beneath) is probably my existing situations' issue. I upgraded from 2GB to 4GB of this memory on my ASUS Crosshair. It sees three.5GB in Windows XP SP2. I'm having some heat problems running the 4GB, so I ordered a new case with a fan over the RAM slots to see if that assists.

Wonderful Durability. The heat spreaders are a nice touch. Since installing this memory, my video games load extremely quick. Counter-Strike Source, Medieval 2: Total War, and Supreme Commander all load and run without having a hitch. None I'm planning on acquiring a different 2GB whenever they come back in stock. A definite ought to acquire for technique builders. Also, on my ASUS M2N-Deluxe I had to adjust the timings, but that was effortlessly completed. I generally have problems with RAM not wanting to boot, but these sticks had no problem.

Kingston reliability. This stuff just works, they even set the default timing down to boot with boards that ought to be in a position to recognize v over 1.8 but don't. Clocks much greater than stated. as usual for Kingston. Unless you get a damaged one in no way with Kingston in my knowledge. Initial: NEWEGG ROCKS. two) This is very compatible and clockable ram. Play a bit, just don't 'volt' over 2.3. Mine is operating 3-3-3-15 nicely at v2.. My last Kingston ram was "cheap" PC2700, rated 2.five-4-4-15, ran it 2-2-two-12 for 4 years. Attempt to maintain airflow excellent close to newer ram, like new vid cards - and every little thing else - it gets hot.

I put 4 gigs in, and made a large distinction over 2 -512 sticks. none Shipping was correct on! Everyone know how to crack this BIOS so that I can bump up the memory Speeds?

Extremely rapid. Stable. Wonderful styling on the heat spreader with the raised lettering, etc. Not quickly recognized as DDR2 800. Have to manually set finest timings in BIOS. Running on an Asus M3A-H/HDMI motherboard, the RAM is initially recognized as DDR2 333 or PC5300. According to siSoft Sandra's scan, PC5300 and 5-5-5-15 are the regular timings. Going into the BIOS, I upped the voltage to 2.05v, and manually set to DDR2-800 (PC6400) with timings of 4-four-4-10. It's running stable as a rock for a couple of days now.

Rapid, runs good. Mine is set at 836MHz DDR2 667 RAM not DDR2 800 I called Kingston tech support about the ram getting DDR2 667 the tech stated that the ram has been tested up to 800MHz and that is why is is called DDR2 800 but the factor default setting is at 667MHz. Overclocking is necessary inorder to reach 800MHz.

I have them operating at 800 Mhz 5-five-five-15. I'm nonetheless attempting to figure out how to have them run at four-four-four-12 I have manually adjusted the timings but I get a BSOD each and every time. I think it is due to the fact I cant seem to be able to run them at an more than clocked speed. Remarkable RAM, improved performance of my laptop or computer and frame rates in L4D as properly. Manually set the voltage to 2.0V thanks to 1 of the other reviews on this page, then set the timings to four-4-4-12. Performance is noticeably superior. You'll have to do some looking to uncover out with the other timings are for this RAM, I used EVEREST Ultimate Edition for ALL recommended operating latencies, and was able to hit 90% of them on my ASUS P5QL/EPU motherboard -NOTE: This is not a con about the product, but about the shipping service!Beware Eggsaver shipping, it is absolutely nothing more than a headache. If you're going to buy this RAM, you could as properly spend the additional 5 dollars and use the UPS shipping technique. This is the second time I've trusted Eggsaver, and the second time I've been let down Eggsaver shipping goes by way of too quite a few doors to be considered worth it. Going with the UPS 3-day guaranteed shipping has usually been the greatest selection for me, and it always will be. Here's the method...Eggsaver:Warehouse -> DHL -> USPS -> YouUPS:Warehouse -> Guaranteed UPS -> YouI waited for practically a month for a shipment that need to have arrived in about a week, just to locate out that it was lost in the mail and I had to order a replacement. Thankfully, Newegg consumer service was quickly enough and got me a replacement for cost-free in just under a fortnight
