Fairly Blue Packaging. Able to shop data if you slow it down. This is NOT PC8500/DDR2 1066 RAM, despite being advertised as such by each Kingston and Newegg. It appears to be superior excellent DDR 800 which can assistance 1066 MHz speed if the latency settings are severely compromised. Kingston & Newegg are flat out lying about what this RAM truly is and it's true capabilities. RAM is advertised as getting capable of running at 1066MHz with a CAS Latency of ř." Memory is quickly and runs fantastic underclocked to a 1 to 1 ratio. Kingston memory isn't what it use to be! I have to return the set that replaced a bad set again so only 1 out three has been great! The only other negative is this memory runs on the hot side. 1 stick out of 2 kits have been bad and thinking that i should have spent the added five bucks for the far better heatsinks.

It does give great timing setting and that is about it. This is not a 1066mhz stick, it is just a robust 800mhz memory stick. If you try to run it as a 1066 stick it will go into windows, but as soon as you location a load on it "I dies and blue screens ya to death." If you want to devote the dollars on a gaming stick get a thing else. This is not what you feel it is or what it is portrait as.

None regarding this memory kind I will share with you the prospective buyer what Kingston Technical stated to me. "We no longer make this particular memory kind. MMM I stated! Having any troubles, oh no. I'll let you read in between the lines. My expereince Asus P5Q Deluxe motherboard likes Corsair XMS Twinx 4096 C5 just fine. No blue screens or inconsistencies whatsoever. FYI: Asus + Corsair offices are located in Fremont, CA. Asus makes use of Corsair memory in the testing of their motherboards. Excellent Luck, hope this will aid prospective buyers.

None that I can believe of... You CAN NOT run this at 1066. It will only run at 800...!!! I installed this into a new build;Asus MB-M4A785MAsus gpu EAH5670 1gig.Asus Bluray/DVDr AMD phenom II x4 965WD velociraptor 150 gig x twoWhen I bring my clocks, timing and voltage to where Kingston states so that they run at 1066, I blue screen. I have to run them at 800 so that my program is stable. I would in no way obtain this memory again or even recommend it.

back in march of 09 i got two kits of khx8500ad2k2ǚg and in january of 2010 i found 1 stick of 4 was negative so i named kingston and the memory was discontinued so they couldn't replace that 1 stick so they replaced all four for no cost with khx 8500d2k2ǚg and to me that will make me only acquire kingston for life even when i construct my subsequent method when the i7 930 is released no matter the cost of it none i will only obtain kingston for life

Excellent price, runs as advertised. As expected, defaluted to 800 speed. I kept the speed the same, and tightened up timing to four-4-four-7 (as yet another reviewer mentioned), and they ran just fine. Loosened them up to 5-5-five-15, and cranked up the speed to 1066, (though I chickened out at two.1 V). Memtested 86+ all night with no errors. I don't feel I'll OC just but, as I truly like my MB, and I fried my Asus/Intel setup by pushing that envelope a little too far :) My son runs ProTools, and he noticed a huge distinction in efficiency and stability, with the upgrade. I've had trouble with Kingston in the past (DDR 400), so I was a little pessimistic about this obtain, but so far, so good. Blue heatspreaders, solid efficiency at DDR2-800 speed. Could not get memtest86 to pass with out failures at 1066 with 8gb, that is, two-4gb kits. I upped the voltage and tried various timings. I gave up and set it back to DDR2-800 speed, due to the fact I don't have the time to figure this out. I wish I had waited just a bit longer for AM3 and DDR3, but no, I just could not wait. What a dork. At least I got a excellent deal on the memory when it was super inexpensive.

Let's see, got this running spec on my old PheII 940 and Sandra is showing 11gb/s mem bandwidth. Brand new PheII 965 system I built for a buddie using DDR3 1600eCL8 only got 9.8.AMD Procs like low latency over high clocks so ram like this really makes them shine. Noooooooo rush to go AM3/DDR3, and with AM3 backward compatibility I can run a brand new 965,970,etc on my AM2 board anyway.

This memory is excellent when you more than-clock it. I would not suggest this memory to a person who does not try and over-clock their system. I was able to sustain my method with the memory speed at 1157 MHz at 2.2v, so in other words this memory is out performing what the written specifications say. I highly advocate Kingston HyperX to shoppers that know what they are undertaking. When I bought this ram I had two gigs Ƒx1) installed already, sadly, I had to reset my bios which I thought was a small inconvenient to install the four gigs that I had purchased ƒx2). I thought it was odd that the DDR3 version of this ram was less expensive, but I just wrote that off as the provide and demand was higher for the DDR3

Fantastic ram, good heatsinks, and fantastic speed. Really Finicky with over clocking. Many crashes till I got it stable. Cant run higher than 1066 Get, wont regret if not a hardcore overclocker.

Stable running at its advertised speed with a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R motherboard and Core 2 Quad. Worked well sufficient that I purchased yet another set and have 8 gigs operating on this board with no concerns. Motherboard doesn't auto set the suitable RAM speed with this memory, you have to set it your self in the boards bios (blame that on the board, not the memory so no 'eggs' taken away). Set the DRAM Voltage to two.2V and input the correct multipliers, and so on. in the bios and check that it actually reads 1066 for the ram speed... and your off! I have not tried to OC my set up so I can't speak to that. I was only searching for a stable machine.

Wonderful memory for a reasonable price. Can't ever go wrong with Kingston...most of the time (see below)... Ordered up 2 kits. 1 arrived DOA. Contacted NewEgg and got an RMA immediately.Can't blame this on NewEgg.

Quick, reliable, good low latencies, stable @ 850MHzƑɅ), CL4-4-four-12-PL8-tRFC51-tRRD3-tRTP3. This is relabeled PC6400 or the eprom would be programmed with the JEDEC table for 533MHz, like how the KHX8500D2K2ǘGN(r) are programmed with a 533MHz JEDEC Table.Lets see if Kingston returns my email about a full JEDEC table for 533MHZ on the KHX8500D2K2ǚG. Given that I can't locate a JEDEC Table for 533MHz on the KHX8500ǚG, I don't know were to start with the 'Advanced Timings', other than generating them loose and taking numerous nights(a week) to tighten them up... Incredibly frustrating!
