Not poor searching, pretty quick, when it works... Ordered 2x 4gb kits. 1 works FLAWLESSLY. 1 Failed 100%.1 stick will not post. 1 stick bluescreens 100% of time at rated specs, and fails all read/write 100% on memtest.I swapped 1 of the (confirmed) working sticks into the identical ram slots, and memtest succeeds perfectly in both instances. On the working set... operating at rated specs, this ram gets BLISTERING hot. I will not run at rated specs for this reason, but I want what I payed for! (working ram?)Going to RMA the 2nd set although I should not have to... Seriously Kingston... I thought you essentially tested your higher end ram prior to you sent it out the door. I mean, I half expect this to occur with a "value" line... but HyperX?Extremely disappointed!!! (In your eyes, "replacement" is an alternative... even so your waste of my time is totally unacceptable!) |

Comment:
Low-cost, taking into consideration DDR2 prices now. Heatsinks look flashier than my old RAM. It refuses to function with my machine. I'm not even thinking about clocking it to 1066mhz. Checked with Memtest 86+ and got no errors at default settings. But the RAM Blue Screens my machine, even on various fresh installations. Tried re-seating twice, but nonetheless no go. Finally swapped back my old Corsair RAM and no more troubles. What can I say? I just want my RAM to function, even if it's not at the advertised 1066mhz. I'm going to RMA. 4GB performance is nice, but I'm not sacrificing that for the stability of my old RAM. I'm giving three eggs rather of 1 due to the fact my other Kingston memory products haven't failed me so far. I'm disappointed mainly because I want to appear elsewhere for RAM now. |

Comment:
Very good stable RAM. I run Windows Vista 64-bit and owned 4 sticks Ƙ GB) given that May 2009. No Problems. Windows shows all the memory accessible.Kingston offers a Lifetime Warranty so if there are any troubles I am confident I can get them replaced. Not excellent for overclocking. When I overclock the CPU the bus speed of this memory gets knocked down from 1066 to 800. I would recommend this memory to anyone developing a technique or upgrading. |

Bought to upgrade my workstation from 4GB to 8GB. I think this is actually the very same ram I bought when I built the machine, if not very close. Constantly great to have a couple of extra gigs, every little thing is a little peppier now. :) None! Got a free 2GB flash drive when I ordered these, so produced it a ReadyBoost drive for a small added kick. :) |

It works as advertised. It installed and worked with no complications. Since it is 1066MHz ram most motherboards will need to have the speed and timings set manually. None I have been using Kingston memory for function and individual PCs and have had no complications. Just make certain you are making use of compatabe RAM for your method. |

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 Desktop Memory
Cons:
One DIMM module out of 4 of the 2 kits I've bought is defective. Need to RMA one whole kit. :(
Pros: Kingston brand2.3Vheatspreader Comment:
Bought two kits of these to replace my KHX6400D2K2/2G. Boosting my total RAM from 4GB to 8GB and from 800MHz to 1066MHz.Since my motherboard is P35 based, I had to tweak the settings for the RAM so that the system could POST and run stable. (P35 does not support 1066MHz natively)After 1 week the system still wasn't stable. I then tried each stick separately and found out that I had a defective stick out of 4.I've been running 6GB of RAM ever since rock solid and now wondering if I should RMA with NCIX or Kingston directly.Always used Kingston RAM for the past 10 years and it's the first time I get a defective module. |

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 Desktop Memory
Cons:
None
Pros: Applications run smooth, Performance very Stable Comment:
I am very satisfied with the performance of this memory. I have always been a Kingston fan since the 72 PIN SIM and very rarely have run into issues with Kingston. This memory is no exception and since replacing my value ram with HyperX have found that my system runs even more smooth (as well as more quickly) and application run even more stable. Highly recommend getting this memory. |

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 Desktop Memory
Cons:
Most system will not run it a 1066. You must know overclocking to run them over 800.
Pros: Good Quality memory. low latency. Good Fsb. Comment:
I wasn't able to run them over 961Mhz at 2.1v I have a P5Q Deluxe and I crashed my bios a couple of time trying to make it work at 1066. Finally forget it and I run them at 800 since it doesn't really make a difference. But still if you overclock you CPU it could be useful to have memory faster than 800Mhz to follow your CPU. But don't expect to much to make it run at 1066. |

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 Desktop Memory
Cons:
default runs at 800mhz instead of 1066mhz
Pros: Seems like it is high quality Comment:
I got it on sale at $90 and put it in my HTPC build. The ram seems like it is good quality and comes with LIFETIME warranty which makes it great. The one negative thing i found was that the ram would default to 800mhz instead of the stock 1066mhz. I tried manually setting it to 1066mhz and it runs stable. Im not sure if its my mobo that randomly sets it back to 800mhz or if the RAM is indeed a 800mhz base that has been rated to be able to overclock to 1066mhz stable and thus advertised at 1066mhz. |

Cons:
None that I can find.
Pros: Super reliable, operates according to spec. As expected of Kingston. Comment:
Using this in combination with an ASUS M3A78-CM, with two kits like these and an AMD Phenom 2 940 Black Edition. Never had a single problem, again as expected from Kingston. |

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 Desktop Memory
Cons:
-None so far
Pros: -Easy to overclock with compatible board-Lifetime warranty through Kingston Comment:
I've worked in retail for many years and have sold various flash memory modules from Kingston and have never been dissapointed. I would recommend for builders who don't need anything flashy as far as speeds but want a reliable build. I will most likely be buying more for future builds if I don't move my clients up to DDR3. |

Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 Desktop Memory
Cons:
None to speak of.
Pros: Overclocks easily and reliably.Excellent warranty return policy. It's Kingston memory... Comment:
I have been running this memory for 18 months at 2.2 volts and 1066 MHz. That's overvolting at installation, but still what Kingston says it will run. A month ago I discovered that my set of this memory, not 18 months old, would not allow me to run BF:BC2 without crashing. Windows memory test showed a serious problem. A quick e-mail requesting an RMA brought exact instructions on how to return the memory to Kingston. Within a week I had new memory back via FedEx. I like the memory and I love the return policy with Kingston. |

Pros:Price, performance, heathsink, Kingston reliability Comment:
Sick of those Crucial Balistix sticks failing on me (got 2 from here, 2 from another dealer later, and the latest failed twice now). Now I have the 2 good Balistix sticks and these 2 Kingston in at 5-5-5-15 2.2V 1000Mhz 6gb total and it's working great (Gigabyte P35-DS3R + Q6600 c 3.0ghz).Kingston never failed on me in the past so I'm confident these will last. |

Cons:none at this price
Pros:fast, cheap, versatile with timings, lifetime warrenty Comment:
Havn't tested out how high i can get it yet, but i'm sure it will do rated speed at rated timings. Right now doing DDR2-800 at 4-4-4-12 timings at 1.9v on a P5Q Pro w/ an E5200 at 3.5Ghz on stock voltage. Pretty darn good for 2GB sticks. would buy again in an instant. |
