Cons:8 silicon chips per ram chip: this kit won't work if your computer can only detect 4gb per slot.

Ram didn't work in Macbook Pro Core 2 duo (8gb max ram) because it is 8 silicon per chip. This ram is high density ram using the same density as on 8gb chips so it will work if your motherboard can support 8gb chips only. I did use it in another laptop and bought Mac compatible ram. |

Just added this to my Samsung Aptiva book 5 laptop which came with 4 gigs of factory ram. I am running Windows 8.1 and added this stick to the laptop and away it went. No more glitches or memory errors. Runs cool. For the price its great! This has chips on both sides but I do not think it would be an issue with most manufactures.
