Pros: Arrived in only three days. Installed in my Acer Aspire One netbook-a learning experience just disassembling the Acer. The SSD went in perfectly. After reassembling the netbook components, I tried to load Win 7 Home Premium....no luck. Not the SSDs fault though. The Atom processor wouldn't support 64 bit. So, I loaded XP and off to the races! Man, this thing is fast! From pressing the power button to full boot-up is less than 30 seconds. Opening applications is virtually instantaneous! Shut down takes less than 5 seconds. Downloads are much, much faster than before. No studdering, noise or anything. I LOVE this thing! Extremely stable too! Comment:
This 64 gb SSD replaced a 120gb Seagate. I didn't need the larger capacity because I only use this netbook to download drivers, etc. for other peoples' computers that I work on. I fully expect to eventually replace my testbench computer drives with SSDs when the price/gb comes down further. I have installed this into a Sony Vaio VGN-AW120D as the boot drive with Windows 7 and boot times and program loads are amazing. Without a doubt one of the best dollar for dollar upgrades possible with a laptop. One of the best feature is the Toshiba GC feature with will work under RAID configurations. A very good value for a mid class SSD, and don't forget to price match because it can get even better. |
Awesome drive to store you OS and those often used applications. Totally worth the buy, especial when on $88 sale!
