Kingston SSDNow V100 SV100S2/128GZ 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:Not the fastest ssd..
Pros:Speed ok for the price I paid. Comment:
I get this for my old computer and wanted to increase it's speed. Its evga 780i. The boot up speed and over all is a bit faster than my raid 0 caviar black. But when doing HDD benchmark, it's actually slower than my caviar black. When running some program it stucks as well. I guess it's either my mobo is too old or the SSD is not that good. Over all, I am still happy with my purchase and for 144 I get 128GB. I think it's reasonable. I need to save up for better gear for the future. |

It's a great drive for the price and much faster than platter drives. Kingston makes great products and they're a brand I trust. |

Kingston SSDNow V100 SV100S2/128GZ 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:All of a sudden it will stop working right.
Pros:This drive is very FAST. Excellent R/W speeds. Comment:
I've had TWO of these drives (one of which was a replacement). They both work AMAZINGLY 99% of the time, then all of a sudden one day you get a bunch of IO errors and can't restart your computer. I've been using this on my Spring '08 MacBook. This has happened to me not just once or twice but probably around 7-8 times. Only solution is to reinstall... but then it'll just happen again in a month so what's the point?I'm not the only person to have this problem either. I have a friend who purchased the 64GB version at the same time as I purchased this one and he has had the exact same issues with his MacBook. |

Kingston SSDNow V100 SV100S2/128GZ 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
Only SATA2, other SSDs are faster
Pros: Fast, good size for an SSD, price Comment:
Cought this a month ago for $180 with no MIR, it has now failed on me. My computer is not recognizing the drive in BIOS, tried it on another comp and it also will not recognize it. Currently going through the RMA process with Kingston to get it replaced. They pay for shipping to/from through FedEx, so far the RMA process is good. While I had it it worked well, Windows 7 loadup time was awesome, overall I was pleased until it stopped working all of a sudden for no reason. |

Kingston SSDNow V100 SV100S2/128GZ 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
Not the fastest
Pros: Fast, inexpensive (when purchased) Comment:
When I purchased the Kingston SSDNow V100 Series 128GB, I though I was getting an note upgrade kit as advertised on NCIX. I received a bare drive !No big deal, but I would have liked the external enclosure of the kit.I imaged my internal drive on the SSD and booted. WOW boot time went from 1m48s to 16s.This is the best 179$ I have spent in a long time. |

Kingston SSDNow V100 SV100S2/128GZ 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
NCIX pricematch
Pros: I may tell you when I will have it from another online store... Comment:
Did a price match for 179.99 , they did not approved it saying that it was below the cost. Last week they were selling these for 179.99 in their weekly special.A little weird. |

Kingston SSDNow V100 SV100S2/128GZ 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
None.
Pros: Price, speed, quality. Comment:
Having used Kingston products in the past with great results, I decided to try the 64Gb V100 version. I was very impressed with the price/performance ratio and true to form, the drive was flawless. For my latest build, I decided that I wanted more SSD capacity. As I run Linux (with TRIM enabled) 128Gb is acres of room. It was only after buying and installing the drive, that I realised that the performance of the 128Gb was actually greater than the 64Gb drive! I am talking around a 10 second power button to desktop load time. Unbelievable. To say that I am pleased with this drive is the understatement of the year. The price is right and the performance is fantastic. Highly recommended. |

Cons:
Price (but not compared to other SSDs)Had to buy a case to mount it.
Pros: fastsilentreliable Comment:
I bought this SSD last year and it's still great. everything is still instantant opening. Great for reducing load time in big games. I mainly use it for Windows and games, all my other documents are on a standard Hard Drive.had 119usable Gigs when i bought it and still have 119 usable gigs today. |

Kingston SSDNow V100 SV100S2/128GZ 2.5" Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Cons:
a bit slower than ocz
Pros: Great read and write speed. Comment:
At 199,99 with no MIR i think its the best 128 SSD you get get for the overall price performance and Go you can get for now.But you have to go for the 128 because the 64 write speed is poor. |
Had to change out my PSU, when I went to unplug the SATA cable from the SSD, the plastic "housing" around the pins broke off.I have unplugged and replugged my SATA platter drives multiple times with nary an issue, the first time I unplug the SSD the plastic breaks.I got it working by re-aligning the pins and putting the SATA cable with the plastic housing back on it, but it is hanging on by only the pins which can't be good.Would have rated it for 5 stars if weren't for the weak SATA housing.
