Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB 2.5in SATA3 LSI SandForce Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD
Cons:None to speak of yet
Pros:Way faster than the 5200 RPM 160 Gig drive it replaced, well priced, did I mention it was faster? Comment:
I replaced the stock HD on my Toshiba Satellite laptop with the Kingston SV300S37A/240G and couldn't be happier. I'm dual booting Win8 64-bit with Ubuntu 12-04 (64-bit). Windows boots to the login screen in 15 seconds and Ubuntu takes me to the login screen in 10 seconds. It used to run a dual boot Vista/Ubuntu which had a reasonable boot time to linux but took several minutes to load the password screen in Vista. I realize Win8 is a huge improvement over Vista but this drive is pretty damn quick too. I'm really pleased with this purchase and would recommend it. |

Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB 2.5in SATA3 LSI SandForce Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD
Cons:Slower than some available
Pros:Compact, SSD Fast, On SaleSata 3240 GB Comment:
Couldn't resist the Price, and I am happy I took the Leap. All of my Need to run files are On it, and they make the loading, very snappy :)Using the Intel rapid start on it. Works just fine. Wakes up like lightning. With 240 GB, room to load lots of Programs on it.The con isn't really an Issue. Faster than any of the HDs I have, and it sure speeds up my system :) |

Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB 2.5in SATA3 LSI SandForce Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD
Cons:A bit slower than only slightly more expensive SSDs.
Pros:Solid SSD for price. Comment:
One of the better cheap end SSDs on the market. Kingston is reliable and it will certainly speed up any computer that is not running an SSD. Downside is that some drives run a decent amount faster for a small increase in price, so bang for buck may not be the best. It's a tough call.No complaints about this one though, that's for sure. |

Kingston SSDNow V300 240GB 2.5in SATA3 LSI SandForce Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD
Cons:Nothing yet
Pros:7mm Form FactorGreat price to Storage ratio Comment:
I purchased this to replace my 320G 5200 hard drive in my Acer C7 Chromebook. The 7mm form factor fit like a glove without any mods to the drive bay. The speed increase for boot times was incredible. The CB is in dev mode so logging in was as almost as slow as Windows. With this drive I'm back to the ~10 sec boot time.My battery time has gone up a little bit too. I was skeptical about SSDs before and now I'm a believer. |
although not the fastest ssd drive it is stable and has worked well under windows 7
