Kingston ValueRAM PC133 256MB 168PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:Fails to register correctly
Pros:Durable, flexible Comment:
Having same problem as Mandy_H......have had it for about a year, read fine in previous board, after two weeks of use, decided to do an upgrade and moved stick to an Abit board BE6 II ver2.0. When placed on board it only reads 128 mb. Thought problem with ram, tried in all three slots still same, moved back to original board, read all 256. Thought maybe problem with board, placed in second Abit BE6 II board, and again 128 mb. Can anyone tell me is there a compatibility issue with this ram and the 440bx chipset? |

Kingston ValueRAM PC133 256MB 168PIN DIMM Memory
Cons:One that I noticed
Pros:Price and can still even buy Comment:
This product I'm sure works as it should. My only problem is that is was bought for a older hp computer. It only read as 128mb. This was very common with this hp computer so I don't blame the memory, just make sure this will work for you before you buy. |
I initially wanted to put it in my little dell unit, but it wouldn't accept it, so I put it in my linux machine. Seemed to speed things up a little bit, but nothing drastic. But for $55.68 for 2 - 256MB sticks. I thought it was an acceptable price considering the call or need for this type of Ram nowadays.
