Inexpensive, free of charge shipping, 1GB. Excellent for throwing some extra RAM into your aging computer system to give it a tiny more life. Smaller in size, good if you have a mircoATX HP setup or some thing related. Not the quickest RAM out there, but it's not intended for high efficiency machines or gaming. For the guy below talking about the faulty RAM that GEEK SQUAD installed. Your initial problem is that you essentially took your personal computer to Geek Squad to have function performed on it. ("somewhat high" tech know-how, eh?) They are going to tell you every little thing they can to attempt and get you to purchase anything they sell or "recommend". My sister took her HP down to them as soon as and they told her she needed much more/better RAM. Her pc wouldn't even boot up, RAM wasn't the challenge. They wanted to charge her 贄 plus components to place some far more, unnecessary, RAM in it. She brought it to me and we figured out the energy provide had gone bad. Picked up a nice Apex for ื and installed it, booted right up. Also, Kingston is one particular of the top brands in memory. I've purchased plenty of their products and haven't had a single challenge. I know PNY but I haven't head anything excellent about them. I though they just sold flash drives these days. worked Bought a 1 gig chip but it only shows up as 500meg. Did this no matter if it was the only chip or if it was utilized with my current 1 gig chip. Don't neglect that purchaser pays shipping for this type of failure

Set it in and forget it... This is how Kingston RAM rolls, and how all RAM really should be like. This stick went into my girlfriend's eMachines box in April 2008 to bump it up to the 2GB max capacity. Seen by the BIOS right away and has worked given that. She runs Vista Home on it, and I run Ubuntu and PCLOS Gnome on it when I can get a possibility to get on. This RAM plays properly with whatever OS it is running on. Didn't come with a box of chocolates, which she would have liked far better than just a funny searching ol' stick of RAM. (Hmmm... perhaps if I took an old RAM stick from the box of strays and dipped it in chocolate... far better not, since the oldies had lead solder in them and would botch up a perfectly very good chocolate bar and earn me a night in the "Doghouse") XD hmmm... i got this stick of Kingston PC533 DDR2 RAM for about ย and a stick of Kingston PC400 DDR1 RAM for about ิ... Each from the Egg. It still trips me how the slower stick can price twice as considerably for the very same capacity. Oh properly, you can count on the Egg to cut you the finest deal overall.

Worked like a champ proper off the bat, installed two sticks to enhance more than the 512 that the comp had.... None definitely, the personal computer it was installed in was not to great to start off off with so it was an improvement yet it nevertheless needs other upgrades that the ram can't present... I assume the people that reviewed saying that this showed only half the ram had mixed ram... which is a no no 90% of the time....This is not a trap...and I know about traps....

Purchased this for a repair on my friend's P4 system and the RAM works like a charm. But that is to be anticipated with a name like Kingston. I only purchased 1 stick to get the technique up and running and to see the performance. Going from 333 to this is a nice small improve but I am about slap another stick in there to give more juice, it was severly lacking when I tried to develop a ghost image. One more gig need to assist. None. I did not understand when I purchased this that this memory is created for low profile situations so I surprised when I got midget ram when I was expecting typical size lol. No biggie, it operates and thats all that counts in my book...size is not almost everything :P

Value, Newegg service. Low profile memory chip. Purchased this simply because since testimonials indicated it will operate in By way of motherboards. It did not perform in mine (Epia LT1000). Still only seeing 512M of memory. Nonetheless give it 5 stars. It's a motherboard difficulty.

I generally give options to my customers on receiving the pricey memory or the affordable but great memory. So far, I haven't had any of these go bad on any of the builds they're in ྱ). The much more costly selections 15% failure rate. Difficult to believe but true. slow, not fancy seeking, won't split into 2 1gb sticks. You get what you pay for and this stick seems to be an exception to that.
