Klipsch IMAGE S4i Black Premium Noise-Isolating Headset w/3-button Apple control
Cons:Only one pair of each eartips, not the clearest sound out there, cord can tangle easily, eartips slide out of my ears easily.
Pros:Good sound, lots of bass, acceptable microphonics, nice 3-button iPhone controls & microphone, several sizes of eartips plus good compatibility with other eartips. Comment:
I've heard nothing but good things about the Klipsch S4is, and I'm tired of Apple's mediocre-sounding included earbuds. The PP price on these canalphones is a sweet deal, so I decided to give it a go, and as a whole, I have not been disappointed.First off, I find the included eartips comfortable, however I seem to be somewhere between a large and a medium, and neither pair really stayed in my ear canals. I found that they would fall out a little too easily. (Also, it seems one of my earholes is bigger than the other). I was able to rectify this by using some of my Etymotic Triple Flange eartips leftover from my set of Etymotic ER4-P in-ear-monitors. Those stay in quite securely, even if they aren't as comfy as the ones included with the S4I.As far as the sound quality goes, I am quite satisfied with the S4Is given their low PP price, although the boomy sounding bass put me off at first until I could get used to it. I have used a set of ~$300 ER4Ps for years, and while Etymotics high-end offering certainly has more clear, precise sound, I feel that the Klipsch offering is more than acceptable considering the low price. The inline iPhone/iPod controls work just great to control volume and playback, and in phone calls, callers seem to find the voice quality of the mic to be comparable to or better than that on the set included with the iPhone 4.The cord is a nice, soft, pliable material that doesn't pick up microphonics too much (transmission of vibration such as the cord rubbing on your shirt), however the sticky material can tangle somewhat easily, so that is the price one has to pay.I think the cord is a good length for most portable uses, plus the 3.5mm connector is very nice and tiny, which I like since it is very unobtrusive. If you like canalphones (in ear headphones), and are looking for a good midrange pair, these are certainly worth picking up - especially if you intend to use them with an iOS device or iPod. |

Klipsch IMAGE S4i Black Premium Noise-Isolating Headset w/3-button Apple control
Cons:Tangles easilyFeels a bit flimsy
Pros:Good soundComfyNoise isolation is very good Comment:
These sounds really good, especially considering how much I paid for them((after price match). It's really quite comfy, I wear it all day and it doesn't bother me at all. In the beginning, it did bug me a bit, but then I realized I was sticking them in too hard. Now, I just push them in lightly and it sticks and forms a shield.Noise isolation is really good, so good that it sometimes become a problem. I was wearing them the other day in a mall, and a sales person was trying to talk to me, but I couldn't hear what she was saying at all. Overall, good bargain considering quality and price. |

Klipsch IMAGE S4i Black Premium Noise-Isolating Headset w/3-button Apple control
Cons:- questionably thin wires, especially where they go into the earbud
Pros:- comfortable, good sound quality Comment:
I'm quite happy with these. They fit comfortably, have quite good sound quality, and were reasonably priced as I got them on sale. They are pretty good and (passively) dampening background noise too. My only concern is that the connection between the earbuds themselves and the wires doesn't seem very well supported and may be damaged. I'll probably be getting another pair as a gift for my s/o. |

Klipsch IMAGE S4i Black Premium Noise-Isolating Headset w/3-button Apple control
Cons:comfort
Pros:sound, remote Comment:
these sound great but so far the included tips irritate my ears a little. The remote works pretty well with my ipad, it's a shame it doesn't work with non-apple devices. might have to buy some third party tips. They do sound good though. |

Klipsch IMAGE S4i Black Premium Noise-Isolating Headset w/3-button Apple control
Cons:Cord feels cheaply made.
Pros:Sounds can be compared to some high end earphones. Comment:
These are hands down the best in-ear headphones I have tried. I've had Sennheisers and the mid-priced Shure in-ears, as well as Bose which can't even compare to these. For under $150, you can't get any better than this. Might want to browse for a price match cause they were 10 bucks cheaper for me than the current 129.99 price tag. Can't comment on the microphone since I don't use an iPhone but I'm sure it works ok. The cord feels like it might break but I've used it for a month now with no problem.Do yourself a favor and buy these. |
Pretty much what my pro's and con's say. Bought these to replace a pair of iBeats, before that had a pair of monster turbine copper pro. These blow the beats away in terms of clarity, and sound. Obviously the bass is not as heavily produced, however it is much more clean, crisp, and just great to listen too. The tips make long listening a pleasure.
