LG 29UM65-P 29IN Widescreen LED 21:9 IPS DVI HDMI Black Glossy
Cons:Some light bleed

Pros:Built in speakers, split screen software, screen real estate of 2 monitors without the hassle
Comment:
The major pros for this monitor is that for all intents and purposes, it's an all-in-one. Instead of buying 2 monitors (requires a better graphics card and costs more), this one monitor works great. The split screen software is useful, but not perfect. Better than Window's built-in split screen software in some areas, worse in others. The reason I went with this monitor is because it was either this or 2 smaller monitors plus speakers - the 29UM65 was the much better value.Only minor complaint is there is a bit of light bleed around the top and bottom edges, but that's a very minor complaint.

LG 29UM65-P 29IN Widescreen LED 21:9 IPS DVI HDMI Black Glossy
Cons:None

Pros:IPSUltra wideease of navigating the menuamazing speakers
Comment:
Had this a few months now, absolutely love the screen, I previously had two benq TN panels and this blows them out of the water. I've had a few monitors with built in speakers but were all trash, these sound amazing. Of course for music you will lack some bass but its crystal clear and they are actually really loud.

LG 29UM65-P 29IN Widescreen LED 21:9 IPS DVI HDMI Black Glossy
Cons:For business productivity QHD would be better in a 34", not all games work in 21:9 without some tinkering. Weaker speaker

Pros:Slick, perfect screen out of box, solid base, enough adjustment, single gpu only required for 2560x1080
Comment:
Solid product by LG. Screen brightness excellent, crisp and very sharp. Excellent viewing angle. No excessive bleed. HDMI connectivity and split screen software work well. Will be passing this unit to wife and I am getting the 34" QHD , run it w a pair of water cooled R290's in custom loop at 4.8ghz

Cons:Wish there were more height options on the standAbout 1cm of the screen acts as a bezel (top and sides)

Pros:Super wide 21:9 aspect ratioVery immersive gaming experienceGreat value for what you're gettingSupport for Display Port

I've had my eye on this and the 25UM65 25" for a while now and as soon as the 29UM65 went on sale I grabbed it without hesitation and have no regrets. Got it on sale for about $350 and it was worth every penny. I really wasn't expecting it to be as big as it was when I got it. It's a little over 2 feet wide and 1 foot high and stretches half way across my desk. Just keep in mind that a lot of games will not run properly in 2560x1080 but you do have the option to run them in 1920x1080 with black bars on the sides and it will be about the same size as a 23" 1080p monitor.

Please not this monitor is not for everyone. I bought the monitor for gaming. I wanted to try and do nvidia 3 way display but did not have the space to set up 3 monitors. When I saw this I fell i love with it. good aspect ratio at 21:9 that I thing is a great spot for gaming unlike the surround might be over whelming. Lg did an amazing job making this monitor. Please not this monitors is design for...GAMING,VIDEO EDITING,PRODUCTIVITY and CINEMATIC MOVIES. Please research the you pc and programs to see if its compatible with it. Not all games do 2560x1080 or 21:9. Some games did not work for me on this ratio but I already knew that, I got around that by modifying my games to be able to do this ratio so if your willing to do that you wont regret it. For the games that I was able to play with the ratio it was amazing. The picture resolution was just gorgeous. All the details you miss were amazing. Battle Field 4 and crisis was amazing.

LG 29UM65-P 29IN Widescreen LED 21:9 IPS DVI HDMI Black Glossy
Cons:Delicate. Error message.

Pros:Nice picture. Wi-i-ide screen.
Comment:
Nice monitor for the price. Annoying setting error message when monitor is not fed 2560X1080. Monitor seems to work best at 1920X1080 and CPU selects 1920 when "best for monitor" selected. At the higher resolution, text is unreadable. looking for settings. Going to call NCIXUS and Apple after the holiday for help.

LG 29UM65-P 29IN Widescreen LED 21:9 IPS DVI HDMI Black Glossy
Cons:inner bezel separating the screen from the frame, LG support is as useful as a asshole on your elbow. Absolutely USELESS. NCIX tech support on the other hand, EXCELLENT! They were far more useful than LG.

Pros:SIZE!!! functionality, resolution, screen, everything!!!
Comment:
I have been looking at 29" Ultra wide monitors for a while. I was looking at the LG 29EA93 29, AOC, NEC and Dell Ultra Sharp 4k. I had read the Dell 4k monitor had a terrible response time, and all the other monitors were about $100+ more than this one with no difference in specs that i could find. After a lot of research I decided to take a chance (couldn't find a lot of info on this model) - and It paid off. Price matched it, so I saved another $100 and wow am I ever glad I took the gamble. This has the exact same specs and brightness as the more expensive LG 29EA93, better specs than the AOC and NEC. The picture quality is FANTASTIC, even out of the box. I had to do very little when color calibrating. The functionality is fantastic, I like how it is just a toggle button to control monitor setup vs 5 separate buttons. The screen is non glare with no bleeding, nothing. Just perfect crisp display. Install and hookup was easy. Playing games on the 2560x1080 is fantastic. That little extra peripheral space makes a world of difference. I switched from three 24" Asus 120hz 3D monitors to this and man do I prefer the Ultra wide over 3 monitors. The one thing I will say about this monitor and ALL ULTRA WIDE monitors is the inner bezel. In promotional literature they make it look like the screen stretches to the ultra thin frame of the monitor giving you 29" of full uninterrupted screen. The reality of this is EVERY ultra wide has a inner bezel that is about half a inch running along the top, and sides of the screen. I had originally thought that the software wasn't installed correctly or that I had a defective monitor because of this inner bezel. I don't know why they didn't just make the frame of the monitor cover up the inner bezel, instead of having a black border separating the screen from the frame. The whole selling point of having the ultra thin frame seems moot. The reality is you end up getting 28" of widescreen with a black border, not 29". That being said, I would still buy one. The ability to have multiple windows open, and the extra screen real estate makes a HUGE difference. I have read complaints about watching movies on the screen. If the movie was shot in widescreen it fills up the whole screen and looks excellent. If it wasn't, then you will have a black border on either side of the screen. This didn't bother me.The other complaint I read was that the height of the screen was slightly restrictive. I didn't find this at all. I find the screen fills up my field of vision very well, and had no complaints with the height. The monitors height isn't adjustable, but it does tilt, which I found was all I needed. I would HIGHLY recommend this monitor, especially over a 3 monitor setup. For video production, this is excellent. Gaming, it is still beautiful to play on, although I do notice it is not as silky smooth as my 2ms Asus 120hz, but it is BARELY noticeable.Monitor is being powered by a GTX 770 2GB, Display port to display port.
