LG Electronics 22IN Mon 16:10 1680X1050 50K:1 170/60ANG sub DVI-D
Cons:Not 1080pPicture quality not the bestBulky
Pros:Screen can be rotatedVertical adjustmentLess wide aspect ratio |
First off, the casing for this screen is really aesthetically ugly. It's also bulky and takes up a lot of space. And, I've bought cheap sub $100 monitors whose picture quality feels sharper and better lit.HOWEVER, the stand is really cool, and I would buy it just for the stand. It allows you to adjust the screen's height, as well as rotate the screen (portrait instead of landscape), and there is even a little pivoting turntable under the stand that let's you pivot the monitor on the desk. This is a really cool feature, and I wonder why more mfrs don't include this. The stand also has mounting, so you can buy a higher quality screen and mount it on the stand. The LG monitor itself though, is disappointing as I mentioned above. The plastic used is also kind of ugly. Which is a shame, because all they had to do was add a shiny coating to make it look nice.
