It was on sale when I bought it for 17 bucks I think. I never get to picky when buying a optical drive like this, I just pick one thats on sale at the time. Nothing real special about it but I have no complaints cause it works great. I am going to have to get some m-discs to try out now. I would definitely buy this drive again if it was on sale when I am ordering. |

M-Disk offers a durable write process that does not age or deteriorate like a regular written DVD. The purpos is to be able to keep your files and dats for a long, long time without the risk of loss. This was not the main reaso why I have chosen this drive, just an additional bonus. The main reason was the low price. The drive works very well, seems to be durable and is presentable. One of these days I may try the M-Disk feature. |

This drive has read all the discs I've put in it so far, it hasn't had any problems writing to any of the disc formats I've tried, and hasn't burned any coasters. It's not noisy, and the with SATA interface it just plugs in and works. |
