LG W2242TQ-BF Black 22" 2 ms (GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:brightness/washout

Pros:Price (on sale)PnPResponse Time
Comment:
I've had a few 22" LG LCD's they do perform very well, no ghosting in gaming and colors look well, but screen is generally too bright for my taste, if reduced, it washes out the colors which doesn't look as nice... Still a great monitor, but you do get what you pay for.

LG W2242TQ-BF Black 22" 2 ms (GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Comment:
Purchased 2008-Oct-02 in Burlington. One stuck pixel, exchanged in less than 5 minutes - no restocking fee - staff friendly and very helpful. Monitor set up is quick and easy. Easy to make adjustments in settings (contrast, brightness, colour tones, etc.). Works well with 128MB ATI All-in-Wonder video / TV card on Intel P3 PC. So far very pleased, considering buying a second unit to replace a very good CRT monitor.

LG W2242TQ-BF Black 22" 2 ms (GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:A little motion blur (Not Ghosting) in games, when turning very fast

Pros:BigBigBigGood colours, pretty decent viewing angles (For a TN)
Comment:
As stated, a bit of motion blur. No ghosting though. Played COD4 for an hour, and its pretty good. Not AS good as my CRT, but still very playable. Movies/TV Shows play just fine, no ghosting at all. Colours are gorgeous. Crisp picture. Its huge. A very small amount of backlight bleeding, IF i set my desktop background to black. On the top a bit, but the bottom isnt noticeable with Vista and the task bar there. Was thinking about the 2253BW, but decided to give LG a shot. If I were to get another monitor, id try the samsung, just to try it. But this is a very decent monitor, and i am quite happy with the purchase. Also, you can make some older games and such run normally with the 4:3 in wide option. Just press a button, and 800X600 is no problem. Did not come with DVI cable. But did come with VGA. Also, the stand is pretty decent. Not great quality, but its a wide stand so not much shaking. and you can tilt the monitor up or down. No height adjustment though. At the end of the day though. Good LCD for the price. 4/5

LG W2242TQ-BF Black 22" 2 ms (GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:Did not come with a DVI cable, although I've heard other people receiving one in the packaging, so it could be case-to-case.

Pros:Picture quality is great, relatively cheap. Good gaming monitor although max resolution is only 1680X1050.
Comment:
Compared this baby to a whole bunch of other 22" monitors, and it by far had the crispest picture. Very satisfied with my purchase so far. Looks very sharp.

LG W2242TQ-BF Black 22" 2 ms (GTG) Widescreen LCD Monitor
Cons:It didn't fit in my desk (So I cut the sides off). Didn't come with DVI cable

Pros:IT'S HUGE! It is wide screen so if you code a lot, you can have longer lines. No dead pixels, pictures looks great, f-engine is a big bonus when watching movies.
Comment:
This monitor is great for anybody. It is quite affordable, works good in single or dual setups, and the picture quality is amazing. It has DVI and the old style cable, but only comes with the old style cable. DVI cables do make a noticeable difference. I would of preferred the 30", but could not afford it, and it would probably kill my video card.

Picked one of these up and found a big blue dead pixel, smack in the middle. Went to exchange it, coughed up the %15 restocking fee and found the second to have a big fat red dead pixel, smack in the middle. Got the Samsung instead, looks better, about the same price and the quality of build is phenomenal. I would not recommend this product.

I love it! When they say that the colours jump off the screen, they aren't kidding! Beautiful crisp images. If there is anything negative to say it's that the led on the power button is bright enough to light a room! If you plan on putting this in your bed room, a piece of electrical tape may be in order.
