Brought this DVD Rom because the one I had died. I didn't want another RW my computer works better with one of each. Had the DVD about two months and it works great with no problems.

Bought this because my expensive LG DVD RW occasionally couldn't read some of my program disks (like MS Win 7 install disk). This unit installed easily and has read everything thing fine. Worked well with Vista and Win7 64.

Disregard the one-star review. He obviously missed the fact that this is a DVD-ROM drive, not a DVD-R drive. It DOES NOT BURN DISCS, nor is it meant to. What it does do is work - quite well for that matter. To be honest, it does make a little noise, but only during seek - playback is pretty quiet.
