This thing works flawlessly, I love a lot of bass in my music, and every time she hits, the sticky lights up lol. Comes with a 3 way switch bracket that takes up 1 expantion slot on the back of the PC, however you could just set it and forget it, and tuck it away somewhere inside the case./ always on/always off/sound activation, also comes with a dial(next to the 3way switch) for the sound sensitivity.just 1 stick lights up the obsidian 900d pretty good, 2 would prob be sweeter.

The cathode is very vibrant. The sound-activated module that came with it is primarily worthless. At a quite precise setting, my kit could pulse at incredibly loud noises. When I attempted to make it a lot more sensitive, it would light up on sound and then "stick" and not turn off, creating it useless for timing to music.Other than that, the cathode seems fragile. Don't get this for the sound module.

The sound active function is wonderful. It can go from intense sensitivity to no sensitivity and everywhere among. I also like the On/Off switch. It actually has three positions: Off/Sound Active/On. I also like the sound module. It has 2 connectors for lights, so adding a different cathode to sound activation is uncomplicated. None I extremely a lot like the sound module in this kit. I currently have the two red 4" cold cathodes and ordered a three pin Y adapter so I can add them to the 2nd energy output on the sound module. 3 sound activated lights, 1 PCI slot, and the selection to have them all on, off, or sound activated with sensitivity adjustment... Also, I'm a DJ who brings my desktop out with me, so these sound activated lights are confident to impress!

Quite Bright, Sound activated unit can be very sensitive Cables are incredibly fragile and i ripped one of them open by accident. Shorted out the sound unit mainly because of it... Good point i had 2.

Extremely bright,the sound scensor performs superb.It actually added life to my Computer.Please don't be afraid to get this one it's a delight. no guidelines but it don't take a genius to figure it out,other than that definitely no cons.

It worked for 2 weeks Soon after two weeks it beginning smoking and smelled like some thing was burning. Just about had a heart attack as I believed this broken my computer system but it did not. This product is absolute garbage DO NOT Purchase. Will attempt to return/RMA to newegg

I got two of these for my brother on his birthday. Now hes got a Velocity Micro Pc. So you know its a high end Pc, now they are vibrant even with the lights on but not so vibrant they burn your eyes or take your view away from the screen. Depends on where you location them is how vibrant they are. Also if u got a complete size case i was not go with much less then two. All round they are seriously very good for the value and they are pretty responsive to the music.

Don't actually know what most men and women are complaining about with the sound activation. If you have your personal computer subsequent to a subwoofer, then move the module as close as you can to it, and play with the sensitivity. Quite cool. Not as bright as I would have hoped, but does what it desires. Extremely quick cords. Get some engineers! With sound activation, you definitely need longer cords!

Thinking of the expense and my experience with sound activated lights in the previous, I wasn't expecting much from these lights. Even so, I was presently mistaken. The light is large, incredibly bright, and the sound-activator can be adjusted incredibly finely, or you can just flip a switch to leave them on permanently. None really I now have a new found respect for Velcro's place in a custom build.

Good bright blue glow that actually lights up your case. The handle knob on the back panel functions quite excellent. You can adjust it to retain the lights on staticly or tweak it to activate when music is playing which performs very well. Now I do have my computer fairly close to my subwoofer and when I play music or play COD4 it offers off a good light show. I bought two of these sound activated cathode kits and only one particular worked correct. The 1 that had issues nonetheless would energy up the cold cathode but the sound activated function would not work so I set up a RMA to send back to newegg. I also have a pair of 12in cold cathode lights and a 4in. I plugged these in to the one particular manage box that worked and they seem to operate just fine on the sound activation mode. Now I have these in a Sunbeam Transformer case and folks are blown away by the light show. This is some good eye candy and they are a low-cost addition to your system.

Very vibrant, it is not a dark blue it is a incredibly really light blue. but really bright and it turned out to work properly in my case, i have a 240mm red fan and with the blue light on the side it tends to make spots of red and spots of blue, its fairly cool looking. no idea how it does that. not the blue of my other blue lights. not poor for the price want i knew what blue it was

affordable value for some Seriously bright lights that appear great in your case want greater mounting program. do oneself a favor and acquire some super glue for a handful of bucks and use it to reinforce the horrible Velcro strips they give you for mounting.

This Cold Cathode is actual vibrant and is a great improvement to any ones case!!! I want the wire have been silver of black to match my case I would purchase 2 a lot more for my personal computer but its vibrant as it is.

Quite vibrant specifically in the dark! Reacts extremely nicely to sound when the sound activation box is places subsequent to the subwoofer. Has 3 modes, 1 for on when I'm just working with the comp, 1 for off when I'm not utilizing it or heading out and one more 1 for the sound activation when listening to music! Wires from cathodes to the sound activation box are quite short only like 6 inches. The huge thing that dropped the rating is they aren't a vibrant blue like I was expecting they are far more of a light blue or half blue half white. I'll be extending the wires ultimately and moving the subwoofer back up onto my shelf so it's not suitable beside my computer system. If you are searching for bright blue lights stick to LEDs simply because these are fairly white but I guess it's the identical way with red cathodes searching far more orange then red. So just beware.

Price, price, value. Sound activation was worthless from day 1 and then broke, works properly in "Always-on mode" even though. Placed this strip under a 24" monitor on my desk so I could see my keyboard at night, vibrant sufficient for this.
