Had been thinking about getting one of these for a while. Spotted an "open box" item here and ordered it (I know "open box" is a risk sometimes). No missing items - looked brand new. Installed it, downloaded latest drivers, firmware and MegaRaid software from LSI (never even tried the included CD). To my surprise it all worked (DX58SO2 MB - BIOS 888)! Running 4 x Patriot Wildfire in Raid 0 - FAST !! Ordered and installed the BBU shortly after (should have done this initially). Recently upgraded firmware with FastPath - REALLY FAST !!! Performance is NOT cheap - but for this speed ... My set-up is NOT a gaming rig - used more for R & D with a lot of virtualization.
