Cons:To get the free windows 8 update, it has to be updated within manufacturer's warranty period.

I have another Lenovo laptop for 23m, and is still working fine with Norton Internet Security. So I am considering to get Lenovo laptop again. I called Lenovo Canada to ask about the free windows 8 update . The technician told me that I have to do it myself, probably with phone assistance from Lenovo if required. Also, if I purchase laptop from a retailer, I can still purchase extended warranty directly from Lenovo within a yr from date of purchase. Say if I have a 3 yrs manufacturer's warranty, then I would get the free windows 8 update during the 3 yr period. |

It is a nice looking laptop with a decent price.Upgrade to win8 is nice, but win7 is better for my use.
