This is an excellent alternative to carrying individual car chargers for several devices. Comparable devices from other retailers sell for about $15+ so you cannot go wrong with the sale price of $2.99It should work with most devices that charge via USB. Tested and verified with iphone, ipods, a couple of android phones (LG, HTC, Samsung) as well as a few 7-8" tablets1A and 2A ports should be sufficient for all but the biggest tablets and power hungry devices. 2A would be excellent for maintaining the charge on smart phones if they are currently in use as a gps or media playerThe blue LED light is not annoyingly bright to be distracting if plugged in a highly visible location. The only thing I am unsure of is if this has some sort of overheat or fuse protection like some higher end car chargers - but again, for the price and the convenience - you shouldn't be expecting too much.

I bought this for my job. I work for a shipping/courier/trucking company.I never know which car, truck, or van i'll be in or what job I will be doing till I go into work. This comes in great for my iPhone as I use it as a GPS and for figuring out my arrival times when I am doing runs where I got to drive for 9 hours hitting many towns, doing 15 drops and 15 pick up's and be back to meet a plane on time.I also have to take a work phone with me and half the time there no chargers as other drivers take them. So the 2nd port is great as I take an older iPhone cable with me for the work phones.

I bought this last week when it was on sale for $5 since I had been looking for a car charger for a long time. Upon using it with my GPS/Phone I came to the conclusion that this works the way it should. It comes with 2 USB ports, 1A port and a 2A port (which is intended for devices with larger batteries, but works fine on smartphones and it charges them as fast as they would on a wall outlet). Both ports can be used to charge 2 devices at the same time.The product fits really well in the 12V cigarette socket inside the car and doesn't show signs of it being loose. This is a really quality product and much better than the cheap and flimsy chargers that go for $2 elsewhere.

Bought this product to use in the car with my phone while using the GPS. There's 2 USB port which one of them is 2 Amps and the other being 1 Amp. The 2 Amp will charge the phone even if I am using the phone as my GPS. However, when using the 1 Amp while using the phone as a GPS, I find it that it charge a lot slowly.Overall, 2 Amp gives you the charging feel of when it is plugged into the wall, and 1 Amp feels like it's charging through a computer USB (not fast at all).The charger fits securely into the car socket.One thing that some people may not like is the LED that it emits from the center of the car charger (where the 1A and 2A is showing). Other than that, it is a great product.
