Works Great
Comment:
I bought this to connect a Vista machine to a dual boot machine that has windows 98 and 2000. I must say it was a snap to get this up and running. The only thing I recomend is to get the one with USB and have both USB mouse and keyboard. Do not even attempt to use an adapter to go from a PS2 to USB it is a waist of time. I had anothe r brand that was PS2 and it gave me bad video. This one on USB is GREAT |

Good product
Comment:
Item is exactly as described. I've been using this for 3 days on one XP machine and one Windows 7 machine. Switch works well. No problems noticed at all. Directions could be a little clearer on the need to connect the usb connectors which are on the same cable as the video connectors since that is how the switch gets its power to operate. Even the audio sharing works well. |

I should have read the specs better.
Comment:
Overall the unit is ok. I have used it for a few weeks and it works as advertised. My problem is that they did not build to be able to switch back from my MAC. I have to use the buttons rather then a keyboard sequence. I would prefer to have the unit under the desk and not clutter my desk with all the cables, but it has to sit front and center so I can push a button to switch back from my MAC. |

Works great
Comment:
Initially it did not recognize my keyboard and mouse. I had to power down the 2 PCs, then power up each one. Since then, everything has been great. |

Good Value...Quality Lacking
Comment:
I bought this for a user who just transitioned to a new job and they wanted to keep their old computer in their new work area where there was another PC. KVM worked great for about a week, then user started complaining that is was locking up and not allowing them to switch back and forth using the buttons on the unit. I ended up returning the unit and am looking for something higher quality. I'm not going to knock the device, as I never personally used it, but if I was spending my own money, I would look for something higher quality...which will cost more, but saves you a lot of hassle in the end. |

Easy and really useful
Comment:
I needed to have help switching my monitor, keyboard and mouse between two computers. When I was told about KVM switches (I had never heard of them before) I went on line to Tigerdirect and starting reading the product descriptions and reviews. I decided on this Linkskey KVM switch. It was easy to install and has worked perfectly for me so I am completely satisfied. I received it two days after ordering it. |

Linkskey LKU-S02ASK KVM Switch - 2-Port, USB and Audio, with Cables
Comment:
When I decided to get a KVM switch I read as many reviews as I could on different brands. The most stars were given to this Linkskey, so I went ahead and purchased one. It worked as well as other reviewers stated it would, but what really bought me, as a previous reviewer mentioned, was the fact that it works flawlessly with Logitech combo sets (keyboard-mouse, one USB connector). I haven't found the automatic switching feature a previous reviewer claims but I am really happy with this purchase. |

Linkskey LKU-S02ASK KVM Switch - 2-Port, USB and Audio, with Cables
Comment:
I read many reviews while looking for a KVM switch that said that they don't work with USB cordless mouse and keyboard combos and particularly would not work with Logitech, and Logitech's own web site says that KVM switches don't work with their units. I hooked this unit up on my 2 EMachine computers, using the Logitech Wave Cordless Duo, and it worked immediately. The mouse connected by plugging the USB reciever into the KVM switch, and it also works by leaving it plugged into the single USB reciever that comes with the Logitech combo. I did have to reinstall the Logitech program on the second computer to get the Set Point software to work properly. When I first turned on each computer, I turned the mouse off, turned it back on and pressed the connection button, at this point, each computer found the hardware. So far I am impressed with the ease of use of this product. The only con with it is the connection points on all 4 sides, making it a little awkward to set up on your desk. |

I had always respected the Belkin name. So much so that when I had problems getting my Belkin Flip KVM to work, I assumed I was doing something wrong. I spent unbelievable hours trying to figure out my mistake. Finally, I thought I would try a different switch. It was then I started reading reviews and found out that many other people were having the same problem with Belkin. After a careful assessment of product specs, prices, and customer reviews, I decided on this Linkskey switch. Not only is it cheaper, it worked immediately with no problems what-so-ever. What a joy when a product does what it says it will. |

Linkskey LKU-S02ASK KVM Switch - 2-Port, USB and Audio, with Cables
Comment:
Not sure whether it's a hw issue or a VMWare issue. Switch works awesome when working on regular operating systems. However, my PC#2 exists to run VMWare images. Switch keeps flipping back to PC1 all by itself. It doesn't like vmware AT ALL! I removed the sw switching and turned off the USB detection in vmware and got the same results. I'm looking for a different solution now. |

I was a bit reluctant to make this purchase, the company name was pretty similar to another company that I have had negative experience with. However, after checking the responses from other users, I made the purchase. It was every bit as easy to set up as they said, and it works flawlessly. The only problem I had was with trying to use a PS2 to USB adapter. When the USB keyboard that I ordered, arrived, everything was great. I'm lovin' it. |

One Word - Awesome. I took the device out of the box and plugged it in. It worked flawlessly. I am using the switch on an AMD Duron 1.1 GHz machine running Win 2k Pro and an AMD Athlon 1.2 GHZ running Linux Ubuntu - Gutsy Gibbon and the KDE 4.0 (Gutsy) OS. Can't be two less compatible OSes. The closest thing to a problem is that I have to click harder than normal on the mouse buttons in Linux |
