waste of time and money
Comment:
i use KVM's for 6 years now, wanted one the uses USB for mouse. I liked this one because of the fixed audio port. when input into the KVM had Static all the time, when input in cpmpurt the Static went away. apart from this, worked fine for about 3 weeks till major problems started. would not read my keyboard or mice anylonger and on 2 computers the Monitors would not work, did away with this Switch and all worked ok. tried to reinstall and same problems continued. what a waste of time and money.

LKU-S04ASK KVM Switch

Works great for me. I just question the layout on the buttons.3&4 on the ends and 1&2 in the middle. I would rather see them in order around the unit 1,2,3,4 one and four being on each end. BUT not a bigthing I guess, and it works great with Vista and Windows 7.

Linkskey LKU-S04ASK KVM Switch - 4-Port, USB, Audio, with Cables
Comment:
I have 2 Vista and 2 XP machines and all work great. I am impressed with switching software, did support Vista. The ability to assign the speakers to any of the 4 connected PCs regardless of which computer was using is awesome. Don't know why the other reviewer had problem with this switch. Mine works great. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Linkskey LKU-S04ASK KVM Switch - 4-Port, USB, Audio, with Cables
Comment:
This thing is junk. I use quite a few KVM's in my work and this one looked like it had the nice feature of USB ports available. I had 4 pc's two of which were USB and two of which were PS2 for the mouse and keyboard. After trying several different PS2 adapters to USB, and numerous tech support calls, I finally ended up returning the ones I could to TigerDirect. The mouse freezes after a few seconds on USB. The keyboard has compatibility issues with different keyboards. When I first bought them, I thought they were Linksys which have been very stable (Cisco based.) They aren't! Be advised before you invest in this unit!
