Very good product
Comment:
I put this product into a desktop computer I had because I had the computer in another room too far away to run a hard wire. After installing this product, my computer ran like a dream. I have had no issues with it since it was installed.

Trouble With Win7
Comment:
I had trouble getting this to work with Windows 7. The card was unable to connect to my router using WPA2 Personal security. I fixed the problem by uninstalling all of the software that came with the adapter, downloading the latest Windows 7 drivers from the website and manually installing them. It worked right away after taking this step. Performance has been fine.

Gamers: change settings
Comment:
The product works right out of the box but it generates ping spikes to the their router of 3 seconds. For normal surfing, this may work but not for online gamers. There is a thread on the support site about it with a fix. Open Device Manager, find your device and under the Advanced Tab find Multimedia Gaming Environment. Make sure that is enabled and the ping spike is gone. Strange that it is not on by default.

Solid Performance, Easy Install
Comment:
Installation was very simple and straightforward however the software failed to completely load. It had no impact however to the operation of the wireless adapter, since install it has been flawless in operation. Not sure what I am missing with the partial software load, but it sure works good!

product sucks
Comment:
Over priced for what you get. The range sucks only good if your in the same room as the router. Does not work through walls, looses signal strength 20 ft. away. I would not recommend this product.

Not as easy of an install as others on Win7 64
Comment:
I have been troubleshooting this for 5 hours total, and even though it is recognized by the hardware manager, it will not search for networks. Used support and forums for ideas, and now I'm waiting for a call from the manufacture's HQ. Chat Support believes there still may be some driver issues for Windows 7.

Not much luck getting a 5MHz signal
Comment:
I bought this new combined with the WRT610N Dual-N router. Before making any changes I measured the signal strength of my old 2.4MHz G router and wireless adapter setup and it came in -50dB. Then I swapped out the old adapter for new and found signal strength had dropped bouncing between -58dB and -65dB occasionally dropping altogether. I then hooked up the new router and the combo of new router and new adapter maintained the same -58dB to -65dB observed earlier with same dropouts. So the adapter appears to be at least partially responsible. The new combo also gave me a reading of about -80dB with frequent drops on the new 5MHz signal which is quite low. Updated the firmware on the router and connectivity issues improved but did not completely go away. In the end with tweaking the 2.4MHz signal is good. I have been unable to get a reliable 5MHz connection going despite the fact there are no other 5MHz networks in my neighbourhood.

Great Wireless Adapter (not so great antennae)
Comment:
I purchased a different adapter when I built my computer a little over a year ago. I had connection issues the whole time, though the adapter would read a good signal from my router (though it is two floors below my computer). I finally decided to buy another adapter, and I got this one. At first it didn't work that great (though it connected better than my old one), but when I used the antennae from my old adapter with this adapter, it started working great. I have faster download speeds than ever, I don't lag in the games I'm playing online, and I can connect to the internet whenever I want.

Easy setup for PC that was on wired network
Comment:
Overall, very easy to install and get running with dual band router. Do not really notice much of a drop in performance. Note that network performance can be enhanced using other bands. Some people install and don't utilize the second band. If that is all you need, don't buy a dual band adapter or router.

Having second thoughts about wireless
Comment:
Got this to use on my wireless network. I'm not too impressed wireless. Connection speed constantly going up and down. This dual band wireless N seems worse than the wirless g I had.
