Logitech C200 WebCam

I was looking to buy a cheap webcam, and came across this one. Now it's been a couple years since I bought it, and it still works fine. I've never used the built in microphone actually, so I can't really comment on the quality of it, but the image quality seems fine. Nothing too amazing but it works.

I seen this just before checking out for the order of my cosin as I noticed it was the same price as his shipping so if he'd get this webcam it would only cost him 1$.

Good unit, easy to install. The mounting system is a little tricky unless you add in some double-sided tape. On a system with 2gb RAM, works great. On a Vista system with only 1GB, tends to be choppy, probably due to the digital mic. Reportedly very clear on the receiving end. 3 on features due to the funky mounting system.

Though I have no way to compare with other webcams, it worked right away and gave reasonable images. The one location I contacted was able to hear, see and understand me. The price was reasonable.

Got this cam to give to my son on his birthday. Just wanted the simple model, so that I could talk to him on Skype once in a while. This cam more than fills the bill. This site had the best price too!

I've used this a bit over the couple weeks I've had it, and I have no complaints, good video quality through varying lighting, manual focus works well, very quick and adjustable mounting system will likely mount to any monitor/laptop, an all around decent webcam for the cost - especially if on sale or price matched.

Good sound, ok video. Memory hog, 50,000k even with camera off. Same camera as rest of series only difference is that the drivers for 7 need to be downloaded with this model. Took me all of 5 minutes and saved 10 bucks.

Picked this up because of the other review noting Ubuntu 9.10. Indeed, a quick plug-in and I was off to Skype. So nice to find a cross platform product that just works.

the web cam was excellent the software was not if you buy it for the software you will be disapointed but it works great with windows software

I don't think this is anything special as far as webcams go, but it worked immediately for skype on ubuntu, which is what I was looking for. The system picked it up immediately without any configuration required.

Great budget webcam. Works out-of-the-box with Ubuntu Linux 9.10. Bought it because of compatibility to Linux!

very easy to install in vista ultimate 64. Only complaint is the mounting mechanism. needs springs or O rings to help clamp it to the monitor as it just slides around precariously balanced!

I needed a new webcam to work with windows 7, since I don't use a cam often I didn't want to spend a large amount. This one was on sale for $26 and seemed to fit my requirements.It was easy to setup and when I checked out the picture quality I was pleasantly surprised. Better than I expected for the cost. Does everything I wanted and the VID program may be a bonus.. although I haven't worked with it yet.All in all I'm happy with this purchase.

As far as webcams go, the C200 does everything I ask of it. For basic video calls, this is the way to go. It was purchased mainly for my three stepchildren to keep in touch with their bio-Dad who has been deployed (again) to the Middle East. Adding a webcam helps keep one American fighting man in better spirits. The camera works exactly as advertised. Absolutely simple 'plug & play'. The operating system did the rest. We had problems, though, with white vertical lines flashing on the screen once the supplied software was installed. Upgrading the drivers did not resolve the issue. Removing the supplied program and drivers did solved the issue. The basic drivers work fine. I highly recommend this camera, especially at this price, for anyone just looking to keep in touch.

This webcam has basic features and is inexpensive. It works like a web cam should and is well worth the money. Unless you need to have high definition web cam ability, this is your web cam.

This webcam performs fine though I wish I had spent the extra bucks for the auto focus model.

Very easy setup, practically PnP. But as with many peripherals, an updated driver must be downloaded from Logitech for W7. Once done, C200 works very smothly. Manual sucks, but most operators should get thru all the features without any problems. Purchased this as a replacement for an older Logitech model that simply would not work with W7.

bought this for 20 dollars on sale. the image was a lot better than i expected even in low lighting and it has a built in microphone; less wires woooh. the software that comes with it i find obsolete, I only really use a webcam for skype. i have it installed on my HTPC tv and it isn't very stable, i think it could fall off easily if i bump into the cabinet. If your looking for a webcam to do internet calling, I would recommend it for 20 dollars. I wouldn't have paid 44 though!
