very nice logitech call of duty edition working really good |
Got this as part of the G105/G9x bundle, $60 combined. Earth shattering kb+mouse bundle for that price.I really enjoy typing on this keyboard: the rubber domes break with just enough resistance so that typing doesn't feel mushy, but also has enough resistance that you have absolute certainty that you intentionally hit that key. Lots of new Apple-like keyboards are way too flat and just make accidental hand rollovers register every button touched. The macro keys are handy for both gaming and normal productivity. They can be programmed from within Logitech's software (which is installed immediately upon plugging in the keyboard), or "hot programmed" directly through the keyboard itself.Backlighting is great, and convenient. Though I leave it off most of the time, it's come in handy when I've had a few all-night gaming sessions with some clan-mates. It would have been very nice if one could change the colour of the backlights, but this is the specifically COD branded version, so, *shrugs*.Finally, my only gripes are with the underside of the keyboard: the risers and the cable management. The risers are very small and flimsy. I've accidentally pulled my mousepad from under the right leg numerous times causing the leg to fold up and drop my keyboard to one side. The cable management design underneath the keyboard was clearly an afterthought; or even a no-thought. It does nothing. Cables do not stay within the tracks, unless you intend on duct taping them to the tracks. I'd recommend just getting and using some velcro straps instead.
